In this spooky episode of #WhiskeyAndFriends, we drank a lovely, sweet and peaty Talisker 10, while reviewing one of Franklin's favorite horror movies from the 2000s, White Noise (2005), starring Michael Keaton. This movie is a suspenseful and creepy take on the unknown and how connecting to the dead could have terrible consequences. This movie marked the peak of the descent into terrible and predictable horror until the eventual rise of the Insidious franchise and later the birth of 2010s psychologic horror.

WOWAWIWUA, THIS PODCAST IS NIIIIICE!!!! In this episode, we discussed arguably one of the best and funniest movies of 2020, Borat 2. This movie made us laugh, reflect on its social commentary, and appreciate the overall genius needed to deliver their comedy in such a way. At the same time, and for a worthy occasion, we tasted one of the most amazing and cheap single malts of all time, the ARDBEG TEN. It is one of my favorites, and it indeed made for smokey, BBQ-y, salty and sweet discussion, with a lot of laughter and a lot of heart. Sláinte!!!!

This October week, Jay, Jess, & Franklin reviewed one of the most deeply disturbing films ever, "Midsommar" (2019), which not only changed our perception of modern horror, but it also gave for wonderful analysis of the movie and the development of Dani's character throughout the movie. We sipped a wonderful dram straight out of Speyside, Balvenie 14: Rum Cask and enjoyed its sweet and spicy taste while feeling like we were sipping a Cuba Libre. Sláinte!
