Bonus- Black [Male] Thought
*of course, the ideas presented in this episode are not the full representation of Black Male Thought; these are OUR own thoughts and you'll notice that even among us panelist, we don't 100% with each position held by another brother. We understand we are not a monolith and leave space for diversity of thought.
BREAUX Capital Series: Put Me On BREAUX!!
BREAUX Capital Series: Flex in Fintech
We’re back with part 3! In this episode we pull the curtain back as one of BREAUX Capital’s co-founders gets transparent and shares about the humble beginnings of BREAUX Capital. Of course, that humility comes with a bit of Fintech Flex as well haha. Listen to this episode and learn how BREAUX Capital measures financial wellness.

BREAUX Capital Series: Keep it One Hunnid
Capitalize the BREAUXS- Spiritual, Relational & Financial CAPITAL
Yo! It's my pleasure to share this conversation AND this organization with you all.
In this episode (which is the first installment of the BREAUX Capital series), I chop it up with serial entrepreneur and BREAUX Capital Co-founder, Ras Asan. In this first episode, we're just vibin' and warming up. You'll hear that it has that barbershop conversational vibe...or that front porch drinking lemonade vibe but the BARS are laced throughout. Be sure to stay with us so you can pick up what we're laying down.

Purpose is Like
"Finding Your Purpose" is a topic that has been addressed over and over again. There have been conferences, books and volumes of other types of work performed in an attempt to help people crystallize and realize their purpose. It's only right that I chime in as well. In this episode I caution against being too rigid and narrow in our understanding of our purpose as our purpose is more dynamic than static. Take a listen.

Be A Lumberjack

I have a confession. This was supposed to be published as the first episode for this season. For some reason, the schedule got mixed up BUT being that this is half time (6 months in), all the principles are just as relevant. Forgive my tardiness. I hope you find the episode to be edifying and practical. If you like what you hear, please follow me on social media (@FredTalx on all platforms). Taboo_Pt3 *Trigger Warning: Abortion, Race, Politics, Legalism, etc.*
I'm willing to bet a vegan cheeseburger y'all ain't heard too many pastors keep it all the way "one hunnid" with you like my sister, Shaunee Brannan. The previous episodes were a build up to this episode. Y'all...THIS is the one. If you haven't discerned it already, this episode will highlight Shaunee's inner strength and her heart for God and people. Because of the experiences she has persevered through, she is able to meet women at whatever station they are at, walk with them and give them a nudge to get to where God would have them arrive.
Get ready to laugh with us..
Get ready to rewind the podcast, like "did they just say that",
Get ready to contemplate with us...You might even get angry with/at us.

Taboo_Pt2 with Shaunee Brannan
We continue with part two of the three-part series with Mrs. Shaunee Brannan.
She is the author behind the family, fun, faith, and fashion based blog: www.prayersandpunchlines.com · In 2017, she released her book “Hi Insecurity, BYE Insecurity” which is an insanely transparent book guaranteed to facilitate healing for anyone wrestling with this common issue. The book is available on Amazon. · She has graced the stage as a back of singer for legends like Fred Hammond · Her and her husband released their own worship project, Heaven on Earth (also available for purchase on Amazon). · I’m confident that as you listen over the next three weeks, that you’ll agree that to know her, is to love her. This is why she is such an effective pastor alongside her husband Gayle Brannan. Together they are powerhouse and if I could summarize their ministry in two words, those words would be 1. Relational and 2. Transformational. Get ready to LAUGH heartily with us, as we have an honest conversation about many of the topics that have been TABOO in the church for too long. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking an nontraditional, but practical look at: · The relationship between the church and politics · The (institutional) church’s responsibility to speak truth to power, especially as it relates to social injustice · Body shame · Parenting · Therapy · Boundaries · Abortion · Politics and women’s rights · Much, much more I hope you enjoy the series as much as I enjoyed the dialog! Pieces of Peace
If you're tempted to dismiss this episode because you think this is about playing nice or being docile as we move about, then you're absolutely WRONG (and clearly, haven't been listening to how I get down in the first two seasons LOL).
The world needs people who have [finally] made peace with reality and themselves. Out of that unwaivering authenticity, they are the ones who will make the greatest impact and the highest contribution. They've done the work. Therefore, they are well adjusted to handle chaos AND peace. They can stand flatfooted in any situation and say, unapologetically and unequivocally, "I AM that I AM".
Enjoy this episode as you level up. Remember, "blessed are the peacemakers" ;)
A Whole New World
***NOTE: Hang in there with me on this episode. I do cite the bible quite a bit in this episode but it's to extinguish the same fear that others are creating by weaponizing the bible. I do this by contextualizing some of the often quoted text used every time someone wants to declare God's judgment. Hopefully, we can put that to rest with this episode.
I’d love to have your feedback after you listen to the episode. Hit me up on any social media platform @FredTalx or email me at FredTalx@mail.com.

Soft Black Girl - Wrap Up
As we wrap up, Jasmyin delves further into the dynamics of polarity and the "magic" of feminine energy. She shares with us some of her role models of femininity and gets real transparent by showing us how the universal truths of polarity and masculine/feminine energy play out in her home. Last week, she shared ways men can help their lady to relax more into their feminine, in this episode she shares how women can step back in such a way that the man will step up into a more masculine essence. She shares the ins/outs of being a wife, mother and running a homeschool (and how homeschooling is revolutionary), her spiritual evolution from her Christian upbrining to where she stands now and what precipitated the change. This, and much more.

Bridging the Gap through Honor
I've witnessed enough to know that binary thinking is a trap; it's never EITHER/OR..it's usually BOTH/AND. This is true when it comes to esteeming our Elders and the traditions they hold dear as well as celebrating the innovation of emerging leaders. We desperately need the wisdom of our elders and sometimes we are at odds because we are not listening to each other's stories and his-stories with an ear to hear.
Throwback Thursday: Mental Health Episode with Clinical Mental Health Therapist, Ce Anderson

Arrested Development
🗣🗣You need more rest!!!
There is a difference in executing from a place of FLOW compared to executing from a place of FORCE. Flow is what happens when we rest into a sustainable gate; it comes from a place of true confidence and self assurance. Remember, not only is rest essential, but you are also worthy of it Sometimes we are arresting our development and experiencing diminishing returns even though we are putting in the work all because we've neglected rest. Rest is just as much a part of the process as work...AND you are worthy of it!
Don't sleep on this episode - pun intended :)

Let’s face it, as much as we try to deny and resist it, Facebook and other social media outlets have been fully integrated into our lives. Social media has legitimately cemented itself into our personal and professional experience. Since this phenomenon is here to stay, we might as well ensure we get a maximum return on our time spent in the social media ecosystem, right?

Self-care practices and more…

Episode 08: Build Something (Other Than Criticism)
I don’t even wanna wax philosophical or take the circuitous route to get to the point.... “WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING”? What are you constructing? Cause if it's only criticism, you might just be a hater. Don't worry there is a cure for that- build your own. People who take ownership as the architect of their own lives are too busy constructing to be critiquing or entertaining the criticism of others.

Episode 07 Afro Whisperer RELOADED: Trap Herbalist
In a previous Episode, episode 02 to be exact, we caught up with the Afro Whisperer, Calvis Williamson and we talked about her role as a Dope Doula, the rich history of doulas and her journey into that role.
During the convo, we just caught a vibe and went with the flow..that flow resulted in a two - hour conversation which meant I had to chop the episodes into two pieces lest you be overwhelmed with the goodness in one setting.
Today, we continue the conversation and get into her role as Trap Herbalist, Bubble Maker, Food Warrior and being 100% Frotastic.

This interview wasn't scheduled to be released for a few weeks but it seemed serendipitous that just a few hours after our lively conversation about how essential Doula’s are - especially to the health and wellbeing of black mothers and surmising why the lack of representation, that I stumbled across Today’s New York Post’s Morning report referring to and minimizing doulas as mere accessories. I couldn't just sit on the interview for a few weeks, I had to let it go.

Episode 01 Podcast or Perish
In this episode, I share my "why" behind launching a podcast; why even though the podcast could be more polished, I could not sit on it any longer.
I pay homage to the church for helping me find confidence in public speaking as well as share some of the reasons I intentionally created some distance between myself and the institutional church.
I share how, sometimes you cannot dismiss the thing that you were naturally wired to do; instead you need to change your approach or change/broaden your audience, continue doing what you love and find fulfillment.
Lastly, I challenge you to discover or return to the passion project you were supposed to be working on. I hope this episode inspires you to get back to business.
