Barbara has lots of great information in her calendar of events, and GayeLynn provides details on the upcoming public meeting for the 1093 Rails to Trails Project and this year's Eagle Lake Wild festival.
Episode 3.1: Calendar of Events, Preview of Rails to Trails Presentation
In this abbreviated episode, listeners will hear the calendar of events for the end of January into February from Barbara Class. Then, GayeLynn Thomas offers a preview of the presentation on Eagle Lake's upcoming Rails to Trail project that will be featured at the annual Chamber Banquet on Jan. 28.

In this episode, Connie Herman invites you all to attend the annual Colorado County Area Go Texan Scholarship Fundraiser in Nada, Barbara Class provides a new community calendar, and Melissa Landin reflects on her time here as Eagle Lake's City Manager. Also, GayeLynn provides some updates on Eagle Lake Wild. (Side note: Numerous scheduling and technical frustrations with the Go Texan segment made Connie and GayeLynn a little punchy; sorry about that!)

Episode 2.5: Chamber Update, Local Events and News, Chamber Website Launch
In this episode, you will hear about the renovations underway at the Chamber Building, an update on the Eagle Lake Wild festival, local news and events, and a report on the launch of the Chamber's new website---lots of great information for everyone! Also, in case you're not sure who the directors of the Chamber of Commerce are, here's a quick refresher: GayeLynn Thomas, Eve Lucas, Connie Herman, Bobbe Nolan, Denise Marburger, Amy Maxwell, Sammi Zarate, Melissa Landin, and Barbara Class; Mary Parr is the Executive Director. Episode 2.4: Municipal Parks System, Community Calendar
Melissa Landin discusses the improvements, plans, and issues for the various park locations in the municipal system, and Barbara Class updates the community calendar of events. One of the many trains roaring through town makes a cameo appearance during the parks conversation.
Episode 2.3: Return of Farmers/Community Market, Community Calendar
In this episode, GayeLynn visits with Angela Spencer from the Parks and Recreation Department about the new season of farmers and community markets, and Barbara is back with a calendar stuffed full of community events. Finally, GayeLynn tells listeners how they can get involved with the Chamber's efforts to move Eagle Lake forward.

In this "super-sized" episode, you will hear from Cheryl Pekar and Susannah Mikulin about their efforts through the Red Door Fund for Mental Health to help local individuals and families struggling with mental illness in the rural region of Colorado and Fayette Counties. Episode 1.12: EL Drugstore's Sammi Zarate, Community Calendar with Festival Info
This episode has great information on vaccination availability as well as a detailed schedule of events for the Fall Festival on Oct. 16. One quick correction: the car show is going to be located downtown, not at the Community Center as stated in the calendar of events segment. Sorry for the confusion!
Episode 1.11: Melissa Parr with Boarding for Rescues and Animal Welfare; Community Calendar
Animal welfare, or lack of, in Texas is a serious issue. If you want to help make a change, here are links to two organizations that lobby the state legislature for changes in animal welfare laws: Animal Legal Defense Fund, aldf.org; Texas Humane Legislation Network, thln.org. On the local level, you heard Melissa say they depend on donations, so please consider helping them continue to do the important work that they do.

This episode highlights the opening of a new memory care unit at Arbor Hills.
