Welcome to "Get Unbothered," the podcast where I figure out life in my 20s and ramble about whatever’s on my mind. Each week, I’ll be discussing topics like mental health, women’s issues, self-growth, relationships, and more! I’ll also share personal stories and provide tips straight from my therapist. Because why make your own mistakes when you can learn from mine? I’m still figuring things out, but if you can relate to a young adult trying to make sense of the world and become her best self, then give me listen!
Got a pimple? Do NOT pop it. I talk about my journey with adult/hormonal acne, birth control, and the products I use to give my skin some good, glowy relief. Products mentioned in this podcast can be found on my Instagram @get_unbothered.
Special guest Destiny joins the show to share her experiences regarding body image and race growing up in the UK. We had such a lovely chat, and I hope you enjoy her perspective as much as I did. If you want to hear more of Destiny, go check out her podcast, Destiny’s Connect! Also, I apologize for the connectivity issues my wi-if was struggling haha.
[Trigger Warning: violence and assault.] Were you ever told as a child to stay alert at all times, avoid eye contact with strange men, or wear modest clothes while out? Why do we victim-blame survivors and defend perpetrators? This episode is my tired, angry response to ‘Not All Men’ and ‘Not all Cops.’ How many dead bodies and grieving families will it take to change the way society protects its most vulnerable members? Everyone deserves to get home safely.
