The Ghoulish GalleryDec 28, 2022
Episode 26 - Walt Keegan and New Jersey
Walt Keegan was kind enough to come on and share some great stories about places he's been to/had personal experiences with! Jake Brown Road and the massive alien abduction, the Matawan Man Eater (a.k.a. inspiration for JAWS!), a trip he took to Salem, MA, and so much more!
Go give him a follow on IG to see the super cool vintage toys he gets to play with, and his adorable French bulldogs:
wjkcreations
Episode 25 - Al Davidson and Kentucky
In this episode from the vault, Al Davidson and I chat about my neighbor, Kentucky! The great Kentucky Meat Shower, a goat man, and haunts in the general area all come up in our conversation!

Episode 24 - Damien Casey and West Virginia
We all know and love Damien Casey - find out about the cryptids HE loves! We talk squonk, the vegetable man, some flatwoods monster, and solve a decades old mystery! Make sure you pick up any of his books (they're all phenomenal and we discuss a few of them), or stop by to see him at a convention!

Episode 23 - Katie Cunningham and Scotland
Join us this week for a waaaaay throwback to January of last year, when Katie Cunningham and I were both sick and trying to record. We talk about big watery horses who eat children, the modern but unofficial version of a Scottish ballad and the intricacies of faerie morality, along with my recommendation for Aquarium of the Dead!
Episode 22 - Lisa from Cryptid Comforts and a Cryptid-palooza!
I give a quick intro with some updates, including joining the You Run Podcast Network! We celebrate the return of The Ghoulish Gallery with a special guest who makes her living designing our favorite creatures from all over the US. We talk conventions, cryptids from the west coast to the east coast, and our love for our fur babies.

Episode 21 - Lindz McLeod and Edinburgh, Scotland
This was SUCH a fun episode to record, and I can't thank Lindz enough for coming on! We talk about selkies, severed heads rolling through open doorways, and the irony in where some murderers end up. The cultural differences between the US and Scotland inevitably work their way into the chat, and an important notice: the release of her debut Beast has been delayed till August, so keep an eye out!

Episode 20 - Billy Loper and Mississippi
In this episode, Billy Loper fills me in on his local spooks/legends, we discuss teenagers and their lack of respect for haunted things, and some cryptid chat! No future house guests who listen to this will ever be able to take me seriously if I try to warn them that my house is haunted... oops.

Episode 19 - Eric Raglin and Lincoln, Nebraska
In this ghoulish episode, Eric tells me about one of the coolest ghostly experiences I've ever heard of, and the most vague lake monster (or maybe it's just indecisive on how to look each day). We hash out what it would take for each of us to be convinced ghosts exist, and whether cryptids might actually all be aliens!

Episode 18 - Michael (Mike) Clark and Salem, Massachusetts
My sincerest apologies on how long of a break there was between episodes. 2023 has been off to a rough start, but we're trying to get rolling again!
Mike joined me for this episode to talk about the top 10 haunted places in Salem, Mass, and I would love for someone to explain to me what a bewitched pig does! We discuss the real horrors of tourism traffic, how surreal it can be when the past merges with the present, and all kinds of spooks and their motivations.
A bit of a trigger warning on this one, as there's some brief talk of addiction and the bath salt zombies in Florida.
The easiest way to find Mike is:
Episode 17 - Francesca Maria and Northern/Central California
This week, I have an amazing conversation with Francesca Maria about Northern/Central California! (Forgive my coughing and hacking since this winter has been trying to kill me.) We talk about Francesca's haunted childhood home, Sasquatch, serial killers in the backseat, the notorious Winchester House, and ghosts EVERYWHERE. I also can't wait for my sister to hear this episode someday and never talk to me again because she's so embarrassed I told "The Bathroom Story".

Episode 16 - Colly Leonard and County Meath, Ireland
This week, Colly was kind enough to join me after a million reschedules, to discuss County Meath, Ireland! We also discuss gazillions of horror movie recommendations (and this was recorded a couple months ago, so I promise I'm not really *that* behind lol), the black pig, old hags, and all sorts of other fun tales from the neighborhood!
Go look Colly up:

Episode 15 - April Yates and Derbyshire, England
The amount of barking I had to edit out of this one was insane, so I'll accept thanks from your ears in advance. April and I talk mermaids, the age old tale of suicide via unreliable men, and a dreaded creature on the loose... the wallaby. There's also the ever-present badmouthing of my dear friend, Adam Hulse (promise, I really do value you lol). I also learn new things, and April is wonderful enough to educate me instead of making fun of me!

Episode 14 - KC Grifant and San Diego, CA
Originally recorded back in October, I'm trying to help maximize the hype for the upcoming release of KC's Melinda West: Monster Gunslinger! We had a lovely chat about haunted ships, the Whaley House, what % of ghosts are disappointed women, weird West things, and Halloween in New England vs. San Diego.

Episode 13 - EV Knight and Savannah, GA
This episode was an absolute blast to record. SO MANY GHOSTS STORIES! We have *some* Barbarian spoiler conversation from about 9:15 to 13:00, a throwback to my recording with Derek Hutchins where I absolutely jinxed myself, some more Frogman conversation from the episode with Cat, and our shared love of true crime.
Bit of a trigger warning, to be on the safe side. Around 1:14:30, for a couple minutes we get into conversation about abusive situations and rape, in how it relates to EV's newest release, Three Days in the Pink Tower. If you don't know who this woman is, you're missing out, because she's a badass.

My Review of Children of Demeter
Episode 12 - Brenda Tolian and Colorado
As you can tell by the podcast discussion, I'm clearly not sticking to the same order they were recorded in. Brenda and I have a blast chatting about all kinds of fun things, like cannibalism (no, I do not endorse the act of cannibalism), Mother Nature whooping some ass, snoring dogs, and her badass book Blood Mountain *review link below*.

Episode 11 - Villimey Mist and Iceland - Unintentional Christmas Special
This week's chat with horror writer Villimey Mist contained a whole lot of Icelandic Christmas traditions and monsters, so here we are with a Christmas special! Icelandic folklore tells you to appreciate what you were given, OR ELSE, and I approve of getting potatoes instead of coal. We talk about how nature will 1000% mess you up, where earthquakes come from, and anxiety is a bitch.
**Minor spoiler alert: there's some conversation about Smile around the 14 minute mark, and Barbarian around 16 minutes. No huge, in-depth chat giving away details, but a tiny bit.**

Episode 9 - Caitlin Marceau and Quebec
Buckle up for a doozy of an episode, where Caitlin and I discuss the Language Police, find out we're long lost twins, share our hatred of the cold, and even offer some relationship advice. Journey gets pretty heavily involved, and I express how much I enjoy editing for my horror peeps as opposed to some of the... interesting... projects that came along at the beginning of my time as a freelancer.

Episode 7 - Arwyn Sherman and Maine
This week, join me and the fantastic Arwyn Sherman with our chat about ghost tours, giant snakes, giant cursed diamonds, giant laughs, our call for a Nancy Drew horror remake, and how I really did jinx myself during my chat with Derek. Oops.
Go find Arwyn here:

Episode 6 - Derek Hutchins and Utah
This week, Derek had a whole variety of spooky things to discuss: abandoned hospitals, abandoned amusement parks, some terrifying security guards, and my absolute favorite... SKINWALKER RANCH. I ramble on and sound like I only half know what I'm talking about with that crazy ranch (woohoo memory), absolutely jinx myself when Derek asks me what I'd consider proof of ghosts, and wonder what trouble nuns got up to.

Episode 5 - Matt Wildasin and Pennsylvania
In the longest episode so far: I almost cause Matt's death by catching him mid-sip with my shining wit, I prepare to list my squeaky chair as a co-host in addition to Journey, and you learn why you should never piss off your food delivery driver. A man even has a pterrifying encounter with a pteradactyl! But also, we cover all the bases: cryptids, dinosaurs, ghosts, the 7 Gates of Hell, you name it!

Episode 4 - Ezekiel Kincaid and Southern Louisiana
This week we have author Ezekiel Kincaid! Journey is a whole lot more involved this episode, we talk about Ezekiel's love of Bigfoot, a potential occult hot spot and the fed up neighbors, the "Satanic Panic" in the 80s, armed cult members, and so much more! His socials are linked below, along with my review of The Dawning, and his rougarou story!

Rougarou Parts 1-3:
Episode 3 - Cat Voleur and Loveland, Ohio
Join Cat and I for the mysterious, magical Frogman of Loveland, OH! While he may not be seen often, the accounts they do have are absolutely worth it. We've also got wizards, cold weather, monster shows, and just an all around good time. Side note - also a little bit of a spoiler toward the end for The Black Phone - oooops.

Episode 2 - Katie Marie and Avebury, England
This episode, Katie Marie joins us to discuss the ghosts inhabiting Avebury Manor - the saddest, but nicest smelling ghost ever, the sad young woman chasing men with facial hair, and the poor cat stuck punching a time card even after it's passed! Then (shockingly) conversation takes a fantastically morbid turn with medieval tradition, Pokémon menus, and other fun things!
