"A Different Kind of Story." Day 3 of 31 Days of Lupus Awareness, Inspiration and Motivation from page 226 of Fragrance After Rain by Dr. Jaiya John
Today's discussion is an encouragement to release attachment to the diagnosis. You are so much more than the diagnosis.
Every lupus patient is different, and therefore every lupus patient's journey to health is going to look different. That was something that I learned, and address in the discussion.
However, I do encourage to not get lost in the story of the diagnosis.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out on any of the platforms where I can be found.
To your health,
Gina
"Healing can be a Joyous Thing." Day 2 of 31 Days of Lupus Awareness, Inspiration and Motivation from Fragrance After Rain by Dr. Jaiya John

"Pain is a Tuning Instrument." Day 1 of 31 Days of Lupus Awareness, Inspiration and Motivation from Fragrance After Rain by Dr. Jaiya John
Pain should not be ignored. It can actually become our teacher when we learn to listen to the messages that it is sending, and allow it to guide us on our journey to healing.
I will be doing 31 days of lupus awareness during the month of May. The book that I am getting my inspiration from is Fragrance After Rain, by Dr. Jaiya John. I strongly recommend getting the book.
"Pain is a Tuning Instrument." Day 1 of 31 Days of Lupus Awareness, Inspiration and Motivation from Fragrance After Rain.
Sometimes it feels that there are more flavors of pain than coffee. However, I believe that pain gets a bad rap. Pain is a messenger, and if we only listen and pay attention when it comes, we can utilize the message to propel us to our journey of healing.
I'm working with a book by Dr. Jaiya John entitled Fragrance After Rain. Feel free to work along with me. This episode's inspiration comes from page 221.

Pre-recorded from my Black Digital Media TV show: David Dye speaks about witnessing his mother's murder, meeting his wife, and losing her to chronic illness, his poetry, and so much more in this episode. I also read from his book, Tandra's Words: Snapshots of Love, Faith and Mourning.
At the end I issue a challenge to David, in which he reacts to one of my paintings. He sees my painting, "I'm not just another face in the crowd" and creates spoken word on the spot. The result will amaze you.

The Power of Words to Heal and Inspire: An Interview with Patrick Wiggins, a Poet
My colleague, Laron Barber and I, as partners of Black Digital Media T.V., interview Patrick Wiggins, a Poet, to learn more about what inspires his poetry and how words can be used destructively or constructively, to help or to heal, to hinder, to harm, to humiliate and so much more. We also react to Ms. Amanda Gorman's inauguration poem, The Hill We Climb.
May we open our hearts and commit to the healing of the world with:
Compassion
Connection
Courage
Commitment
Creativity
