Episode 264 - Chaos Reigns in Palm Royale
Sometimes it’s fun to watch a show that makes zero sense. Well, maybe “fun” is too strong of a word. Listen to our review of the chaotic Apple TV+ series “Palm Royale” lol.
Episode 263 - The Idea of WHO?
"The Idea of You" on Prime had us missing One Direction and reminded us of the delusion we had thinking we could end up with one of them.
Episode 262 - Girl Meets Shōgun
Watching Shogun is like going to rehab for a phone addiction—and the payoff is an epic TV show that is somehow both similar to all your favorite shows AND completely different from any other show you’ve seen! Plus by the finale, you might be fluent in Japanese.
Episode 261 - Donny The Clown Nosed Reindeer
"Baby Reindeer" on Netlifx had us in our feels, feeling old, and celebrating shows you can binge in one sitting.
Episode 260 - Ripley’s Believe It or Not
We had a darkly fun time watching the new Netflix series “Ripley,” a new adaptation of “The Talented Mr. Ripley”! And don’t worry; we don’t get into spoilers until 28:28 😈
Episode 259 - Got Problems? Here's 3 More!
GMS had some hesitations leaning into the sci-fi genre, but "3 Body Problem" on Netflix may have cured our sci-fi phobia!
Episode 258 - Are You Afraid of the Dark…Side of Nickelodeon?
As millennials who have loved TV ever since childhood, we were definitely disturbed by the new docuseries “Quiet on Set” streaming on Max. Despite how upsetting it was…we do recommend watching it.
Episode 257 - BPE (Big Podcasting Energy)
Pop music, Tina Fey produced, Jon Hamm jokes... it's like "Girls5eva" was made for Girl Meets Show, and we are so glad it's now on Netflix!
Episode 256 - GMS News Network (feat. The Oscars)
This week we’re news reporters, giving you updates and commentary on the Oscars and on tons of recent TV news. Also, we’re dying to know: what channel numbers do YOU still have memorized from childhood??
Episode 255 - More Mystery, but at Night!
We are in a murder mystery era right right now, and "True Detective: Night Country" is the latest watch.
Episode 254 - One Day, 14 Times
BE WARNED (apparently a lot of people have been shocked): “One Day” is more of a rom-dram than a rom-com! And yet we still had fun bingeing it!!
Episode 253 - Looking For Our Mr. Smith
PDA alert! Our 2024 valentine is "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" on Amazon Prime. We are in love and we don't care who knows it!

Sundance Film Festival and Girl Meets Show share an origin state, so it's only right we recap our flops and favorites from this year's fest.
Episode 250 - Fargo: It's Like White Lotus, But With Snow
We’re going to convince you to watch Fargo season 5 if it’s the last thing we do!! This new season really blew our minds—thanks to amazing performances from Jon Hamm, Juno Temple, and Lamorne Morris (just to name a few) and the best part is, you can jump right in with season 5. Listen to our *spoiler-free* review now!
Episode 249 - Emmys! Murder! Curses!
We've got it all this week. We watched the Emmy Awards, "Murder at the End of the World" on Hulu, and "The Curse" on Showtime. It's a lot to debrief, but we did it (and in record time tbh)!
Episode 248 - Girl Meets Globes
Awards season is finally here! The Golden Globes kicked things off this weekend, and we couldn’t be more excited to discuss all of the highs and lows, Taylor and Selena’s “inaudible shit talking,” and of course all of Succession’s victories.
Episode 247 - New Year, New Netflix Movies
We rang in the new year with Netflix movies "Maestro" and "Leave the World Behind." Let us tell you if they were bops or flops!
Episode 246 - “The Crown” + 2023 TV Royalty
We’re saying goodbye to “The Crown” and 2023 all in one episode! It’s only right that as we reflect on one queen, we also crown the best shows and characters we watched this year as 2023 TV royalty.
Episode 245 - May December Be Filled With TV Time
It's busy/holiday/awards season which means staying sane with hours of TV time. Netflix is doing their best to keep our seasonal depression at bay with "May December" and "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off" while Max is keeping us on our toes with "Love Has Won."
Episode 244 - Yass Queen
HEAR YE, HEAR YE: 100% of Girl Meets Show has finally caught up on The Crown!! Celebrate this huge accomplishment by listening to us discuss the three different casts, the most recent episodes, and our excitement about the upcoming finale.
Episode 243 - The Morning Show Lows (& Highs!)
"The Morning Show" really pulled out all the stops in season 3. They traveled into space, went inside The Capitol on January 6, and even brought in JON HAMM! Did their tricks work? Listen and find out!
Episode 242 - Riz Lady
We watched two streaming movies this week—“Quiz Lady” on Hulu and “Fingernails” on Apple—that both kinda flopped. Listen to this ep to hear WHY these didn’t quite work for us…and to hear us both almost burst into tears discussing “Fleabag”!
Episode 241 - One of the Boys
Netflix double feature of Heather McMahan's comedy special "Son I Never Had" and "Fair Play" make us question if being one of the boys is all it's cracked up to be.
Episode 240 - Viva Posh & Becks Forever
This week we went back to y2k with the Netflix docuseries “Beckham”, and we have a lot of opinions on the doc, power couples in general, and somehow “Suits”?!
Episode 239 - Only Slays in the Building
Thank you "Only Murderers in the Building" for giving us an opportunity to podcast about our favorite podcasting TV characters, and gush about up & coming indie darling Meryl Streep!

Episode 236 - What do Telemarketers, Gaylors, and The Luxor All Have in Common?

Episode 235 - Claim To Fame #Spon? #Please?

What happens when 2 podcasters watch a movie about 2 dignitaries falling in love? Listen to this episode and find out how we felt about the Amazon Prime original movie "Red, White & Royal Blue."
Episode 231 - TY For the Beanie Baby Memories
Yes it’s true: we are both former (and possibly current?) obsessed Beanie Baby collectors, and we had a hilarious time reminiscing while watching the Max documentary “Beanie Mania” (and a boring time watching the Apple TV+ movie “The Beanie Bubble”).
Episode 230 - Ted Lameo
#Believe us when we tell you we wanted to be wrong about the last season of Ted Lasso. Unfortunately, we can now confirm we were in fact right.
Episode 229 - Silo Yourself Off From Society and Binge “Silo” ASAP
Would we want to live in the Silo in the new Apple TV+ series “Silo”? No, but we did like spending time there for a little while we binged the show!
Episode 228 - The Other Two: A Pyramid Scheme
Don't meet your heroes, and don't make a TV show your entire personality or it just might get canceled. Saying goodbye to "The Other Two" is not easy. We already miss our love/hate relationship with the entire Dubek family.
Episode 227 - We’re Back in our “The Bear” Era
Amazing food, beautiful character growth, A-list celeb cameos, existential crises, and several Taylor Swift references: was “The Bear” season 2 written specifically for us?! Listen as we praise this amazing 2nd season while also picking apart some of its (few) weaknesses in our latest ep.
Episode 226 - Black Mirror Going Clear
The world has been anxiously waiting for a new "Black Mirror" season, and now that we have it we just have a couple questions. We're putting on our detective hats while trying to find the technology, but still having fun on the job!

Episode 224 - Love, Death, & Candy
Thank you Hollywood for making 2 TV shows about the same crime so we could compare and contrast what did and didn't work in "Love & Death" on HBO and "Candy" on Hulu. Will we get this opportunity again? Only time will tell.
Episode 223 - The Day that Succession and Barry F*ck Off Forever :(
Even though we pre-grieved, it didn’t make it any easier when two of our most favorite shows had their series finales on the SAME DAY. Mourn with us as we unpack the genius final seasons of “Succession” and “Barry” 💔
Episode 222 - RIP Logan Roy: A Bridgerton Story
It's been a while, but we are split on "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story." Don't worry though, we can always come together to pre-grieve the end of our "Succession" era.

Episode 220 - Netflix Babies: Philomena Cunk & Baby J
This week we educated ourselves on the writers strike, world history, and interventions. Let us attempt to get you up to speed as we discuss Netflix's "Cunk on Earth" and "John Mulaney: Baby J."
Episode 219 - Reporting for Jury Duty
We ended up loving our very first Freevee show, “Jury Duty”! It made us contemplate many things, like being a good person, finding out the truth about Santa Claus, and the mystery that is Freevee itself. Jordyn also gets the opportunity to brag about the time she saw James Marsden at the airport.
Episode 218 - The Mando-bore-ian
Girl Meets Show is pro giving up when it comes to shows that no longer serve you. The Star Wars universe has unfortunately seemed to put baby (Yoda & Pedro Pascal) in a corner, and we aren't thrilled. This podcast is also pro Waystar Royco corporate retreats which is exactly what Succession episode 5 gave us.
Episode 217 - BEEF: It’s What’s On Netflix
It’s A24’s world, we’re just living in it! We watched Netflix’s latest buzzy series, A24’s Beef. Not only was it extremely entertaining but it also made us think long after we finished the last episode.
We also remain firm in our #TeamMarcia stance in this week’s Waystar Water Cooler segment, so listen and see if you think we’re being too harsh on Kerry!!
Episode 216 - Shrinks Be Shrinking
Shrinking on Apple TV+ felt like a warm hug on a winter day, but those are usually our favorite kind of shows to critique. You also get not 1, but 2 Logan Roy impressions from Jordyn so this is a pretty special episode.
Episode 215 - Daisy Jones Hive Rise Up
Even though the girls majorly outshone all of the boys in the show, we had a great time with Daisy Jones & the Six on Prime! Our news segment is also full of hot takes on many things, including Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s sex appeal, so don’t miss this episode…!
