Glennis Perez

Glennis Perez began her career in education at Roosevelt School in New Jersey. There, she served as the lead teacher for the bilingual education program. She holds her master’s degree in educational leadership and specializes in bilingual and bicultural education. During this first teaching assignment, she was responsible for launching an after-school port-of-entry program to support students in acquiring the academic language required to improve their mastery of English. She has served as an educator for over two decades.

Glennis Perez is a leader in education and continues to serve the Tampa area, promoting her vision of developing successful students prepared to compete in a global society. She believes in the importance of collaboration in a safe and caring environment for all students. Glennis is invested in bringing people together in collaboration, using every stakeholder’s individual strengths to reach a common goal. She is currently pursuing her Ed. D in program development with an emphasis on educational innovation. Glennis Perez holds her B.A. in elementary education from William Paterson University. In 2007, she received her M.Ed in educational leadership and instruction at the University of South Florida, Tampa. Glennis is a Mathematics Lead at the Village of Excellence Academy in Tampa, where she oversees the ongoing professional development for math content standards and pedagogy.
