I was excited that HKIA reached out to be on the podcast. His Kids in Action is a WWU Club and community organization that does outreach with local children and teens. The leaders have a passion for their work. I am proud to have classmates who care about giving kids a quality spiritual experience. #14 John McVay - A Word With The President
In this episode, I got the privilege of having my first conversation ever with Dr. John McVay, our University president. Dr. McVay has a nice blend of humor and a serious vision for the University. I was touched when he said that one of the things he misses most is seeing students enjoying campus lawns during the Spring. He shares his approach to leadership with COVID-19 and offers some powerful encouragement for us all.
#13 George Corrales - The Aviators
In this episode I talk to a WWU sophomore, George. He is an aviation technology major and has some exciting stories. In this episode we each tell a potentially near-death flying story. We both love exploring and going fast! I think God has really watched out for us. George also talks about life in SoCal and how life has changed for him with COVID.

In this episode I talk to my longtime friend and classmate Lissa Clark. Lissa is a nursing major who is about to graduate. We talk about old times and the differences in nursing education with COVID 19. She has boards coming up and is hoping to get a job in Loma Linda this summer. Lissa is a very kind and encouraging person!

#8 Cassandre Beccai - Coping in The Absence of Normalcy
In this episode, I got to talk to Cassandre Beccai, our Title IX coordinator and Diversity and Inclusion Specialist here at WWU. I can tell Cassandre has a passion for people. She talks about ways to deal with the absence of normalcy in the face of Coronavirus and global panic. She has been an inspiration to the podcast. We had a little bit of trouble with internet service in a few parts, so please excuse a few garbled seconds of audio.
#7 Lucas Marcondes - A Chat with Your ASWWU President
In this episode I had the privilege of speaking to Lucas Marcondes, the ASWWU president. He tells us about his quarantine life, how he became president, his love for ASWWU and our WWU family and some of his interests. He also talks about what ASWWU is doing for us right now. Lucas cares about all of us a lot and is there to listen. Check this one out!
#6 Adela Yanez - Looking Out for Each Other
In this episode, I talk to Adela Yanez, a WWU graduate student in social work, who works to support students and the Diversity and Inclusion Office. Adela radiates positivity and brought to light the fact that some people are suffering more than others during the pandemic. She reminds me that we all need to be considerate of each other as human beings, no matter where we're from. She also gave some valuable info for students who are struggling academically! #5 Dania Estrada-Castanaza - Generosity in Service
In this episode I get to know Dania, who is at home in Austin, Texas. She recently has became another CHE ambassador, and rightfully so. She has dedicated a lot of her life to service. It was inspiring to hear about the Rotoract club that she started here to serve our Walla Walla community. She is a very encouraging person and I am glad that she will be working with us!
#4 David Lindstrom - A Perspective on The World
In this episode, I talk to David Lindstrom, a WWU Staff who works at the SDC, providing career counseling and he also teaches some classes. He is master resume builder as well. David is in tune with the times and has a lot of interesting points. He is also quite funny, and has a lot of relevant things for us today. Please join me in welcoming another staff member to the podcast!
#3 Miranda Aus - Out of Africa
In this episode I talk to Miranda Aus, a triple major, who was a student missionary in Chad, Africa for the last 8 months. She shares some of her experience there and specifically talks about her adventure in getting home safely. She was one of the inspirations for the name "The Global Campus," as she started her WWU classes this quarter from the heart of Africa.
#2: Tyler Humphries
In this episode, I talk to long time friend Tyler Humphries. Tyler is about to graduate with an engineering degree and has been involved in outreach at WWU in multiple ways. Tyler recently had an exciting journey in Spain and Italy and tells us of his adventure coming back to the US with a moment's notice of COVID-19 changes. He also has some fascinating book recommendations and provides us all with a positive outlook!
