For instance, on July 1, the Consulate General of Georgia in San Francisco hosted a virtual roundtable discussion dedicated to further enhancing U.S.-Georgia business cooperation in the information and communication technology (ICT) sphere. Darlene Chiu Byrant, Executive Director of GlobalSF joined the roundtable discussion as one of the panelists.

In today’s episode, we are so excited to have the Honorable Mr. Neil Frank R. Ferrer, Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines in San Francisco with us. Aligning with the reopening of California last week, The Consul General announced that the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco has resumed most of the in-person services, as well as consular outreach services across the consular jurisdiction. He liberally shared his future plans within his upcoming term of service, including the partnership with GlobalSF assisting start-up businesses and interested investors from the Philippines to grow in the U.S., and vice versa.

To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and the United States, Consul General Ferrer introduced a virtual celebration on the consulate’s Facebook account @PHinSF.  "Kalayaan 2021: Celebrating Partnership and Humanity” to us, which features talented Filipino and American artists and timely messages of Philippine and U.S. officials.

San Francisco was one of the first cities in the world to implement a stay-at-home order. Businesses all over the world experienced a severely hard time during the coronavirus lockdown. With the State of California announcing its reopening in June, there is much to be excited about, and much work to be done to help rebuild and recover.

In this episode, Darlene Chiu Bryant, Executive Director of GlobalSF discusses the positive economic impacts brought to businesses in the State of California, thanks to the reopening. Investors and entrepreneurs from overseas are excited to return and to develop their businesses in California. Hans Galland, CEO of Haulistix

Hans serves as Co-Chair of GlobalSF.

Hans is an entrepreneur who loves building businesses “zero to one” in rapidly changing markets and industries. He is founder and CEO of Haulistix, a digital-first trucking company. Prior, Hans was Senior Vice President with Pacific Eagle where he grew the company’s real estate development portfolio to $1.2 bn assets-under-development and served on various portfolio company boards. Hans also was in China for ten years building and running the hospitality investment advisory business for JLL in Beijing during a time which arguably saw the country’s most dramatic economic transformation.

Fluent in Mandarin, English, French and German, Hans graduated from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and EHL at the University of Applied Sciences in Western Switzerland. As a tenacious student of surfing and improvisational theater, he is learning to deal with frequent failures and occasional successes. Hans lives in San Francisco with his partner Hantian and two dogs, Noe and Caselli.
