#19 - Enneagram Countertypes
We introduced the topic of Enneagram Instinctual Subtypes (or "Instincts") in our last episode, so this week we're talking about Countertypes. Much like our blind spots, our Instinctual patterns are subconscious and related to our drives for survival as individuals and a species. We all have three Subtypes within us to varying degrees: Self-preservation, Sexual (One-to-One), and Social. And one of these is dominant in our personality. Among the 9 Types, each of them as one Countertype: a Subtype that seems atypical in some way when compared to it's other Subtypes. Today we are summarizing each of the 9 Type's Countertypes.

#18 - All About The Three Enneagram Instinctual Subtypes
This episode helps you understand each of the three Enneagram Subtypes that each of the nine Types has within them. No matter what your dominant Type is, you have one dominant Subtype (or "Instinct"), a secondary Subtype you use less, and a tertiary Subtype that you use very little or not at all. Your Instinctual Subtype has a kind of power over us and it is our work to balance these Subtypes and be able to use them all as we need them!

#16 - Enneagram Childhood Messages (All Types)
In this episode, Gina and Kristy are discussing all the Types' childhood messages -- both lost childhood messages and unconscious childhood messages. These are the messages we don't receive as a child and the messages we tuned into. This is a somewhat controversial topic (which came first, the chicken or the egg?): which came first? The childhood wounds or the personality? We are passionate about this subject and both feel that we are born with innate sensitivities, but that the messages received or not received are deeply influential in developing our personalities. What do you think?

#14 - Wings for Thinking Types (5,6,7)
In this episode, we’re describing the dominant Enneagram Types (5,6,7) in detail and their Wing variations (5w4, 5w6, 6w5, 6w7, 7w6, 7w8). Wings are located on either side of your dominant Type number and “flavor” the dominant Type with their own unique traits. For some people, their Wings or one Wing can be very strong. For others, their Wing or Wings aren’t as prominent, meaning that they are most like their dominant Enneagram Type. Usually, one Wing tends to be more developed (or stronger) than the other. Developing the good qualities of healthy Wing Type traits will balance our dominant personality Type. This concludes our series on dominant Types and their associated Wings.

#13 - Wings for Heart Types (2,3,4)
In this episode, we’re describing the dominant Enneagram Types (8,9,1) in detail and their Wing variations (2w1, 2w3, 3w2, 3w4, 4w3, 4w5). Developing the good qualities of Wing traits can help balance our dominant personalities! Wings are there to support us! Next episode, we'll be talking about the dominant Thinking Center Types and their associated Wings.

#12 - Wings for Body Types (8,9,1)
In this episode, we’re describing the dominant Enneagram Types (8,9,1) in detail and their Wing variations (8w7, 8w9, 9w8, 9w1, 1w9, 1w2). As you may notice, Wings are located just one number away from your dominant Type number and “flavor” the dominant Type with their own unique traits. This may be one reason that some people relate to a couple of different types. Some Wings can be so strong, people think they’re their dominant Types. For others, their Wing or Wings aren’t as prominent in their lives. Usually, though, one of the Wings tends to be more developed (or stronger) than the other. Developing the good qualities of Wing traits can help balance our dominant personalities! Next time, we'll explore the dominant Types and their associated Wings for the Heart Types, and then the following episode will be the Thinking Types and their Wings. We hope this series is super helpful to you!

Just a reminder - we're still looking for interviewees now for all the Enneagram Types! You may apply to do this by sending us a message through our website, sending us an email, or by sending us a message or comment on our Instagram account (see below). It would seriously make our day and we love hearing from you!

#11 - Healthy Connection to Disintegration (Stress) Arrows for All Types (1-9)
Today we're talking about the possibility of having a healthy connection to your Enneagram Disintegration (or Stress) Arrows. This means you can have a healthy relationship with the Stress number of your type -- instead of taking on the unhealthy traits of that number, you may take on the healthier traits of that number!
We'd love to know what you think of this and if you relate to your Stress number in a healthy way. And we're looking for interviewees now for all the Enneagram Types! You can do this by leaving a comment on our blog https://www.godblesstheenneagram.com or Instagram account (link in profile): @godblesstheenneagram. It would seriously make our day and we love hearing from you!
#10 - Unhealthy Connection to Integration Arrows for Body and Heart Centers (8,9,1,2,3,4)
Enneagram Integration (also called Security or Growth) and Disintegration (also called Stress) Arrows are aspects of our Enneagram style that we're connected to -- to some degree, or for others, to a very large degree. We're proposing that it's possible to have unhealthy connection to your Integration type and a healthy connection to your Disintegration type. In this episode specifically, we're talking about this fascinating (and even controversial) topic: the possibility of having an unhealthy connection to the Direction of Integration for the Gut and Feeling Center Types. We covered the Thinking Types in Episode #8. This concept may seem unusual because normally an Enneagram Type's style tends to shift in seemingly healthy ways when in a place of security (Integration). In other words, you tend to take on the healthy characteristics of your Enneagram Type's Integration number when you feel really well or secure. In previous episodes, we described what this looks like for all the types -- broken up into what Triad (or Center) the Types belong to. But in this episode, we're describing how it's possible to shift in seemingly unhealthy ways and take on unhealthy aspects of the Integration Arrow. In the next episode, we'll be talking about how it's possible to have an Unhealthy connection to the Disintegration Arrows. We hope you enjoy exploring this unusual Enneagram topic!
#9 (Bonus) - Relationship Tips For All Types
In this bonus episode, we're sharing tips for how to make all the Enneagram Types (1-9) feel loved and supported. This episode is broadcasting on Valentine's Day, but truly this is for anyone who has a friend, family member, or beloved one who they want to make feel fantastic for any occasion. We hope you enjoy this fun episode!

As always, we'd love to hear from you if you relate to anything we talked about on this episode, have questions, or want to share other ideas with us! Doing so also helps our podcast be broadcasted to others who are interested in and looking for a podcast about the topics we talk about on our show! #8 - Unhealthy Connections to Enneagram Integration Arrows for Thinking Types (5,6,7)
In this episode specifically, we're talking about this fascinating (and even controversial) topic: the possibility of having an unhealthy connection to the Direction of Integration for the Thinking Types (we're covering the Gut and Feeling Types in our next episode). This concept may seem unusual because normally an Enneagram Type's style tends to shift in seemingly healthy ways when in a place of security (Integration). In other words, you tend to take on the healthy characteristics of your Enneagram Type's Integration number when you feel really well or secure. But in this episode, we're describing how it's possible to shift in seemingly unhealthy ways and take on unhealthy aspects of the Integration Arrow. In the next handful of episodes, we're talking about how this can be for all the types and what it may look like for you. We hope you enjoy exploring this unusual Enneagram topic.
#7 - Enneagram’s Centers of Intelligence: Gut Center (Type 8, 9, and 1)
This episode, we’re explaining the foundation of the Gut / Action Center (also known as "Triad") group, which is one of three of the Enneagram's Centers of Intelligence. Co-host Kristy is still on the mend, but is doing her best to keep up with Gina to share her thoughts about this special Center. We're describing how each of the Enneagram Types that belong to this Center (Types 8, 9, and 1) relate specifically to the Gut Center. This concludes our three-part series of the Enneagram Centers. We hope you enjoyed it!
#6 - Enneagram’s Centers of Intelligence: Thinking Center (Type 5, 6, and 7)
#5 - An Introduction to Enneagram’s Centers of Intelligence and Heart Centers (Type 2, 3, and 4)
This episode is an introduction to the Enneagram’s Centers of Intelligence: The Heart (feeling), Head (thinking), and Gut (action) Triads, which all work together in all of us. Each of the 9 dominant Enneagram personality Types belong to one of these three Centers. This Primary Center is the one we use the most to asses information and perceive ourselves and the outside world. Our Primary Center is, in short, overdeveloped compared to our other two Centers -- it's our ego's primary fixation. Our Secondary Center is the one we used next most, and our Tertiary Center is rarely used or is dominant altogether. Though, if we can learn to use all of them in an integrated way, we can function in a more balanced way. We’re explaining the basics of the Heart Center group and how each of the Types belonging to this Center (Types 2, 3, and 4) relate specifically to the Heart Center. The next two weeks, we’ll cover the Head and the Gut Centers.
#4 How Astrological Sun Signs Correlate With Enneagram Types
We’re deeply contemplating how aspects of astrology line up with the Enneagram. Do you think there’s anything to it? We do! There are 12 Sun Signs and only 9 dominant Enneagram Types with 2 possible Wings. Did you know that astrology features 9 planets? There are also Integration and Disintegration numbers as well as Instinctual Subtypes. Is it possible that astrology has outlined some of the same motivations and behaviors that the Enneagram has featured? Here’s our guesses for which Sun Signs resemble which Enneagram Types.
