When Emotion Sets You FREE!

When Emotion Sets You FREE!

Welcome to the Badass Subscriber Group! Not a bad name, now that I type it out!

You are going to get all kinds of goodies as they emerge from my creatively feverish soul. It’s so wild! I found a 15-year-old set of training videos I recorded when I was out in California, and the message was so still-on-point, I thought for a moment, “Wait…what the hell have I been learning these last 10 years? Did I already know it? Have I secretly lost my mind?”

But no. I understand that there is knowing a thing, and then there is experiencing a thing. And that is what I want to give those of you who are here with me in this particular journey!

Thanks for being here, and for being badass! You. rock. my. world!

Women Doing Business Differently - Episode 6: Blaine Millett • "The Emotional 'Stealth Missile' Man - Expanding Bottom Lines with Emotion-Based Top-Level Mindshifts"

You really don't want to miss this interview!

Blaine Millet has worked in traditional settings, but the approach he now brings as a consultant to businesses is far from traditional. In fact, he is championing and demonstrating the effectiveness of emotion - that disrespected "touchy-feely" aspect of humanness - which is ignored at our peril, both personally and professionally.

This feminine aspect of humanness has been put down and utilized for purposes of shame and control. But Blaine understands that when it comes to doing business well, we are missing the boat entirely if we continue to focus exclusively on process and product. So he goes into businesses and teaches them how to do it all differently; and when he leaves the businesses, there is - as he puts it - "no going back, because why would anyone want to?"

Blaine is the author of Stop Marketing: Your Customers Are Dying to Do It for You: How to Become "REMARK"ableTM!

And this interview just made. my. week!

Women Doing Business Differently - Episode 3: El Hoffman • "Sex, Honesty, and Intimate Partner Violence"

Women Doing Business Differently - Episode 3: El Hoffman • "Sex, Honesty, and Intimate Partner Violence"

Vaginismus, Intimate Partner Violence, our lack of Sex Education - these are the topics we are talking about today. El Hoffmann is out to open the conversation.

"Everybody has sex, but no one talks about it." El Hoffman isn't talking about the kind of conversations that come from television about enjoying sex and being "sexy enough". Too many of us suffer from problems with sex and we don't have a place to reach out in safety and learn, and ask questions that affect the very quality of our lives. Until now.

El is the founder of Luvia, which opens the door to questions about sex which are not taught in the medical profession - even to OB-GYN's - and which we have been afraid to ask. She is also launching an app, and expanding her information and assistance to include men and the LGBTQ community.

Goodbye Good Girl Project Presents Mary Marshall - "Nurse Concierge on Speaking Up for Yourself and Your Health"

Mary Marshall is who you want to call on when you need to understand your health challenges and opportunities without feeling rushed, shamed, or otherwise impacted in ways that stop you from asking those critical questions.

We had a beautiful conversation on January 14th about empowerment, self-expression, health and how you make your own well-considered choices...with a little help from someone like Mary.

COURAGEOUS WOMEN YOU SHOULD KNOW! EPISODE 1 - Martha Gellhorn, the Katherine Hepburn of the 1930's

COURAGEOUS WOMEN YOU SHOULD KNOW! EPISODE 1 - Martha Gellhorn, the Katherine Hepburn of the 1930's

The voices, stories and choices of men have dominated the social structure and fabric of everything in our lives, from business ownership and boardrooms to occupying the starring roles in our history.

Meanwhile, women have been quietly and not-so-quietly carrying out phenomenal acts of social courage, scientific change, discovery and more, without being represented front and center as the sources of light and empowerment and transformation that they are.

This first episode is about Martha Gellhorn, journalist and writer and general badass. This woman broke rules to make sure that she covered wars and all kinds of unrest around the world. And she started doing that in the 1930's! She ran straight through the pearl-wearing, husband-obeying '40's and '50's and kept going into her 80's.

She is an example of courage, determination, self-expression and tenacity.

She is Martha Gellhorn.

Listen to her story and see what there is about it that you can identify with and take inspiration from!

Welcome to Courageous Women You Should Know!

When the Good Girl stops trying to be perfect

When the Good Girl stops trying to be perfect

Talk to someone who is able to support herself with faith in her own efforts, and you will find that she has tapped into something important. She may find that she leans on gratitude, or on faith, or on self-confidence or self-forgiveness.

For me, it is lovingkindness.

With mercy as the measure of any action, I can stay away from the metaphorical knives of my own inner voice, inner attitudes and mis-learned practices that cause me nothing but more harm.

Take a short journey with me into an exploration of lovingkindness, and the path to the inner healing we all crave. Join me in saying goodbye to the perfect good girl.

(You will also hear my cat, Thomas, crooning to you, so say a quick hello to my 12-year-old Maine coon. He is gorgeous, and he is a total luv.)
