More Food! Not Veggie Friendly and Charity shops
Lardy Cake.
A dip into the history of Lardy Cake including an explanation of what it is, and the memories it brought back. Where it comes from, why it is called Lardy cake and some other gems of information about this gooey cake. For me it is just a fond memory as obviously now I am no longer able to eat this cake. Tune in to Season 1, Episode 4 to hear more about that.
As stated in the title if you are vegetarian/vegan this is not the podcast for you. As long as you are not squeamish, then listen. This will be totally at your own risk.
Sweetbreads.
An explanation and description of what Sweetbreads actually are, which is not what most people expect.
Sweetmeats.
Not to be confused with sweetbreads as they are entirely different. Again explanation and description.
Charity Shops.
You may or may not be aware that my blog is called https://charityshophoppingandotherthings.co.uk and this podcast is very loosely connected to it. This all started as a need for me to curb my spending after I was made redundant. You can find out more on my blog, on my Welcome Page about this. I try to break down the misconceptions people have about charity shops and may be if they visit they could find some amazing bargains as I did.
Episode 4. Smart Motorways, and Awareness weeks
Interview with Keith from Wokingham Driving School answering the burning questions every one has, not least of which is 'What exactly is a SMART motorway?' and what does it mean for us?
I'm also covering Coeliac Awareness Week which is this week, Coeliac UK are focusing on diagnosis with their #isitcoeliacdisease, this and the following web address will take you to an online form to see if you may need to investigate further. www.isitcoeliacdisease.org.uk
You are probably all very aware that this week is also Christian Aid Week. Did you know that this is the oldest and largest fundraising event in the country? There is a whole section on Christian Aid on my blog from Friday 10th May 2019, in my Focus on: series. You can find my blog here. https://charityshophoppingandotherthings.co.uk
If you follow my blog you will know that this month is incredibly busy with awareness for all sorts of things, however, EDS Awareness month is one of the most important to me and you can find the different charities this month supports at https://charityshophoppingandotherthings.co.uk/how-busy-is-may
