Samaritan Approach Part 3
This second segment with Pastor Maurice Trent Jr. goes into the Fathership of Satan, Kingdom building instead of The Kingdom building, and our responsibility as a church. There is no shortage of finance to help the poor, there is a big shortage of those with means being willing to get those resources where they are needed. As people of God, we are writing our legacy, what are you giving toward your legacy!
Samaritan Approach Part 2
This second segment with Pastor Maurice Trent Jr. goes into the biblical standards relative to how we should treat others. The devaluation of one another is a insidious sickness that belies our response to things like police brutality, social injustice, human rights etc. Additionally we discuss whether Jesus is Black or White. What does the bible say? The temperature of racism exists in the silence and people of character must speak into the silence with truth.
Samaritan Approach Part I
Jesus tough a poignant lesson to the crowd by using a Samaritan to illustrate what was good. He knew that his audience despised the Samaritan people and would go through great lengths to avoid even being near them. In this series Pastor Maurice C. Trent Jr. from Lighthouse Cathedral in Pittsburgh PA goes deep into conversations that many people avoid. His no nonsense approach will make you a bit uneasy, but his biblical basis is solid.
Lance the Barber Part II
The barber shop is more than a place men go to get their hair cut and beards trimmed. It is cultural mecca where deep conversations will arise amidst the frivolity. Politics, religion, current events and marital advice are all discussed organically. These differing opinions foster an environment of diversity. Lance Walker has harnessed this dynamic and purposely guides conversation to respectful treks deep inside the minds of his customers to engender a truly learning atmosphere among his eclectic group of patrons. This week we delve more into the ministry of intentionality, the #metoo movement and more.

Mind of a Rioter Part 2. Interview with Roger Teco Trent continue.
The Mind of a Rioter Part I with Teco Trent
During recent riots there was a flare up in the media after President Obama and other black leaders called rioters "thugs" which is seen as code used primarily against blacks. As Christians, we should follow the lead of Christ and not stand back to condemn, but lean in to see the heart, should and mind. This organic conversation dives inside the mind of an actual rioter during the Rodney King Riots. Beware, this is not milk toast conversation. This is REAL conversation about REAL life in America, This may not be America as we want to see it, but it is America as it is. Only through proper diagnosis can the proper prescription be written.
Introduction to the Podcaster
The concept of the podcast is that there is a standard against which we measure right and wrong. The podcast leader does not claim to be the standard but simply, like the guests and society, is seeking to juxtapose current issues against that standard. In this episode you get to know a little bit about your host.
