Special OSCARS Episode: RRR
This week on the Gung-Fu Super Bros. Podcast, we celebrate RRR's Academy Awarding-Winning song "Naatu Naatu" by M. M. Keeravani and Chandrabose.
Is this the most fantastic Tollywood movie the Super Bros. have watched? Quite possibly. Bheem and Raju are best friends, revolutionaries, and rivals in the greatest bromance ever told.
After British Colonialists kidnap a girl, the Shepard of a village (Bheem) travels undercover to the city to rescue her. Raju begrudgingly works up the Police Force to seek revenge for horrendous crimes against his village. Will both characters achieve their ultimate goals? How cool are the action scenes in this movie? Did this movie inspire Enrique to watch more beloved Bollywood and Tollywood movies?

A street performer turned leader of street urchins escapes the New York City Police Department and 1920s gangsters to participate in an underground fighting competition. Is this our new number-one movie? How much did Enrique enjoy this masterpiece? Why doesn't someone trained on Muay Tai Island practice any Muay Tai?

Jesus Christ Super Car / The One
Orozco returns just in time to discuss a new religious documentary he watched. It's also John's belated birthday, and there are a plethora of presents. The Super Bros. also discusses the recent shakeup with DC movies and the upcoming Avatar sequel.
This week the Super Bros. review "The One." In a parallel dimension, Yulaw (Jet Li) is convicted of murdering 123 alternate versions of himself. After an elaborate escape involving a rat with explosives, Yulaw escapes into another dimension to kill his last doppelganger. Special Agents are dispatched to follow and return Yulaw. Why does this movie have a rat with giant balls? Did Enrique think this movie slaps? Why isn't the evil Carla Gugino in this movie the entire time?

The Ending You Deserve / The Big Hit
Don't call it a comeback. The Gung-Fu Super Bros. are back with a new episode this week, and Ivan is missing. Have evil forces conspired to get rid of him, or is he having phone issues with Spectrum? Possibly. In this episode, the Bros. talk about visiting NASA JPL, the new Ryan Renolds / Will Ferrell movie, and we discover Enrique hates comedy.
In the second half, the Bros. review Big Hit. Melvin Smiley is a ruthless assassin at work but a sheepish nice guy at home. When his coworkers ask Melvin to take part in a side hustle kidnapping a "college" girl, Melvin is unexpectedly put in the crosshairs of his Mafia boss Paris. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bokeem Woodbine, and Antonio Sabato Jr., the Big Hit delivers clever set pieces and solid laughs. Is Enrique an Aloe Vera man? Why is Marky Mark horrible whenever he plays a "sensitive" character? Does anyone know of a private university that makes you wear a uniform?

Three of the Four Super Bros. are back this weekend for a short episode this week. Orozco asks about Andor starring Diego Luna, John talks about the Bioshock and Gears of War movies, and Super Producer Stevens tells us her favorite meal of the day.
In the second half, the Super Bros. review One-Armed Swordsman (1967). After his father is killed, Fang trains to one day avenge his father. However, jealous students cause him to lose his arm. Starring Jimmy Wang Yu as Fang, this movie is filled with laughs, love, and a whole lot of living and dying. Did this movie make the top-ten list? Why was Enrique canceled? The Super Bros. review "Unleashed" or "Danny the Dog" on this week's episode. Glasgow gangster Bart can finally retire by entering his martial arts "bodyguard" into an underground fight club. However, fate has other plans for Danny when he encounters a kind Piano Tuner and his stepdaughter. Packed with insane martial arts and heart, Unleashed adds another epic movie to Jet Li's already impressive resumé.

The Super Bros. are back with a spooky episode just in time for Halloween! In this episode, Enrique "forgets" to put on his Halloween costume. The Super Bros. talk about sports superstitions, Halloween outfits, and movies that are overhyped.
In the second half, the Super Bros. watch Blade. Wesley Snipes plays the titular hero in this follow-up. After tracking down his mentor Whistler, Blade and his new partner Skud, form an uneasy alliance with the vampire nation. Partnered with an elite group of mercenaries, Blade must unravel the mystery of a new breed of vampire that feeds on both human and vampiric blood. Is this movie better than the original? This week on the Gung-Fu Super Bros. Podcast, Super Producer Stevens and Abarca return from Halloween Horror Nights. Which haunted house was the best of the night? Enrique talks about the time he hurt himself with a rope and how he almost got run over by a car. Finally, the guys talk about the 2022 Toy Hall of Fame inductees.
This week, the boys' review “Yes Madam!” or “Line of Duty 2: Supercops.” After a foreigner is murdered in his hotel room, a Hong Kong Police Officer teams up with an English Police Officer to track down his murderer. They run into a pair of thieves and their expert forger friend along with a ruthless assassin. Who are the main protagonists of this movie? Why is this movie a sequel? Will Enrique like this movie featuring lady police officers? The premise itself baffles him.

Cheese Dawn-ish / RRR
The Super Bros. are back from their weekend trips. John and SPS bring you the latest news from the D23 Expo. Was it everything they dreamed of? Is there any new Star Wars or Marvel news you didn't already know of? Ivan and Enrique return from a spooky family trip to Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights. What house was the best this year? Did they get to ride the Terror Tram? What is the secret origin of the "cheese dawn-ish"
The Super Bros. watched RRR this week? Is this the greatest Indian movie they have ever watched? Quite possibly. Bheem and Raju are best friends, revolutionaries, and rivals in the greatest bromance that's ever been told. After a girl is kidnapped by British Colonialists, the Shepard of a village (Bheem) travels undercover to the city to rescue her. Raju begrudgingly works his way up the Police Force to seek revenge for horrendous crimes against his village. Will both characters achieve their ultimate goals? How cool are the action scenes in this movie? Did this movie inspire Enrique to watch more beloved Indian movies?

Sep-seq-tember comes to an exciting end with this week's movie "Best of the Best 2." After facing the Korean Taekwondo team, three friends move to Las Vegas to start a martial arts school. When one of the friends is found dead, his friends investigate the suspicious circumstances of his death. They discover an underground fighting tournament in the heart of Las Vegas. Sep-seq-tember, Part II: The Happening / Ip Man 2
Our Sep-seq-tember, Part II: The Happening celebration begins in episode 73! In this special episode, the Super Bros. discover that Super Producer Steven's Dad worked on the movie "Over the Top," the guys talk about their favorite and least favorite sequels/prequels, and Ivan finally watches Top Gun: Maverick. The Bros. also celebrate Ivan's birthday with a plethora of gifts and a little bit of wiener.
In the second half, the Super Bros. review Ip Man 2. Forced to move to Hong Kong, Ip Man takes up teaching only to find a rivalry between local Martial Arts schools, his newly founded Wing Chun school, and British colonizers. Will Bruce Lee somehow find his way into this movie? How badass is Sammo Hung? Does this movie motivate Enrique to learn the ancient style of "Wang Chung," a musical act unrelated to this movie?

Once Upon a Time in LA / Fatal Contact
The Super Bros. share their family origins in this week's family-sized episode. Ivan talks about what sport his Dad thinks is the most American. Enrique talks about his Grandfather's families, John recalls why his family moved to the Central Valley, and Stevens talks about "moving on up" to Rancho Cucamonga. Also, in the first half, the guys talk about the Bananaland Documentary, What We Do in the Shadows and Reservation Dogs. We also find out Enrique hates "The Mist" and minorities.
In the second half, the Super Bros. venture into the Hong Kong underground to review "Fatal Contact." Kong Ko, a performer and martial artist joins an underground fight tournament after being encouraged by his crush. Kong becomes the top fighter on the circuit and starts amassing a small fortune. Faced with throwing a fight or losing his girl, Kong makes the ultimate decision. Will the truth set Kong free or drive him mad, eventually causing him to murder everyone around him? Of course not! This is not totally a spoiler. Which one of the Super Bros. hated this movie with a passion? Is actor Jing Wu a good fighter AND a good actor? Can he be both?

Atreyu! / The Forbidden Kingdom (2008)
The Super Bros. have socially distanced this episode. Ivan and Enrique go to a taping of "The Masked Singer." Stevens reveals her love for Puerto Rican sensation Cheyenne. Enrique recalls a movie from his childhood, "Un Sabado Mas," and was possibly traumatized by "The Neverending Story."
In the show's second half, the Super Bros. review "The Forbidden Kingdom," starring Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and Michael Angarano. An American teenager obsessed with Martial Arts movies transports to Ancient China via a magical staff. With the help of an Orphan, a Drunken Master, and a Mysterious Monk, the young man must rescue the Monkey King and battle the evil forces of the Jade Warlord. Is the fight between Wong Fei Hung and Wong Fei Hung the most epic part of this movie? Why is this movie better than it should be? After foiling a Bank robbery and getting dumped on the same day, Fallon gets rewarded with a demotion. Country Cousins / The Protector (2005)
This week on the Gung-Fu Super Bros., the gang talks about going to school. Enrique finished his homework for the week and gave us his review of Christine. John talks about how he goes to theme parks to boost his self-esteem, and the gang chooses their dream movie car.

Everyday is Halloween / Lionheart
Enrique is missing this week’s spectacular episode of the Gung-Fu Super Bros.! Was he kidnapped again? Is he on vacation? Who knows. “June-Claude” Van Damme month starts with a bang with “Lionheart!” Jean-Claude plays Lyon, a French Legionnaire who goes AWOL to see his dying brother. Pursued by the French Legion, Lyon has to enter the world of underground fighting to make enough money to help his brother and his family. Does Lyon get to see his dying brother one last time?
