Mike, being the oldest of four siblings, learned the struggles of leadership at an early age. The Charlotte native and former football student-athlete graduated with honors from Appalachian State University.
He first entered the world of motorsports in 2006 as a developmental member of a NASCAR Pit Crew. Mike slowly climbed the ranks and started coaching pit crews in addition to competing in 2012. Presently, he is Team Lead for Pit Crew and Human Performance at Chip Ganassi Racing and Fueler for the No. 42 Cup Series team.
Outside of motorsports, Mike is very active in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the organization RunningWorks and is a board member of the Daddy Saturday Foundation. He also co-authored the book 12 Second Culture with Shaun Peet.
