I got a traffic ticket last week, and it was not for something I didn't do, rather for something I did do! We talk about how this applies to our health, and how we can focus on the things we do, the action steps, and not the things we don't.
In 2018 when I had developed a heart condition because of my incorrect nutrition, exercise and recovery practices, I felt like I was being held back from doing things I really needed and wanted to do. What I learned is that I am not held back at all, but these limitations have become a strength to me in creating and maintaining balance. And this has helped me to create a strong and thriving life that I believe I would not have otherwise experienced!
The same goes for you- you may have things in your life you feel are keeping you from being "healthy"; could you actually use these limitations as strengths to create true health because of them? Whether that's having Diabetes, life in a wheelchair, a disease or syndrome that has stopped you from feeling you could be healthy. How can you use it to your advantage? Counting calories is a false, yet lingering belief that we have held on to for decades, and it's something we need to change if we want to better understand energy in food, and energy balance in our bodies!
