Alyssa is paired up with Ellyse, a woman about her age who is suffering from space palsy;  a degenerative series of diseases that render life in gravity extremely uncomfortable. The two of them enter the Sunward Sky in preparation for the launch and set themselves up in the specially designed couches. A message from the ship's captain suggests to Alyssa that the men from the terminal might have sabotaged the ship... Is it too late?

After an unscheduled delay to the launch of the Sunward Sky, a maintenance spacecraft for the world's ever-growing satellite network, Alyssa decides to explore the abandoned town around the site. She meets Healy, an old space-hopper who will be joining her on the ship,  and sees something she probably shouldn't have...
