Today I’m talking to Los Angeles-based fine artist and printmaker, Anna Wingfield. Anna first fell in love with printmaking while she was studying abroad in London in College and she followed that passion to Baltimore, New York, and LA, where she now has her very own studio and printing press. Today I’m chatting with Ann Arbor-based realtor, interior design enthusiast, and tastemaker Emily Schoen. Emily has spent the last few years building a loyal fanbase on Instagram where she showcases her charming home and offers loads of design inspiration! Today I’m chatting with LA-based Graphic Designer and Founder of Girl Museum Day, Diane Lindquist. Gurl Museum Day is a destination for female artists, curators, and art lovers to connect, collaborate and claim space. You’ll hear during our chat that the idea was born when Diane started taking trips to museums across LA with a few girlfriends and it’s now evolved into a supportive community of artists rooted in diversity and collaboration across the industry. Before Covid19, Gurl Museum Day hosted organized museum tours in New York and LA, and they also have an online magazine, a female artist directory, and a successful hashtag #gurlmusuemday. I’m excited to share this episode because Diane’s story is unlike any I’ve featured on the podcast before and during our chat she was really honest and vulnerable about a lot of things, including her childhood cancer diagnosis that left her with one eye and the grieving process she went through after her mother’s death which ultimately inspired her to head to the museums in the first place.

In today's episode, I’m talking to San Francisco based brand photographer and clarity coach, Hillary Jeanne. Hillary and I crossed paths about a year ago when I reached out to her wanting to learn more about her photography business and left our conversation so impressed with the thought and interest that she put into just our short discovery call. As a brand photographer, Hillary partners with ambitious entrepreneurial women to help them understand their niche and create visual imagery that compliments that, and in 2020 she decided to officially add clarity coaching to her list of services. I'm excited to share my conversation with Hillary because although she has always been a very creative-minded people, she didn't know that Photography was going to be her path and she spent a really intentional chuck of time in her 20's trying out all different forms of creativity until she found the medium that felt right for her. Today I’m talking to Alabama based Interior Designer, stylist and tastemaker, Elizabeth Damrich. Elizabeth started her career in New York working in PR and Brand Strategy before moving to Charleston to pursue her lifelong passion of Interior Design full time. She now works on design projects across the country and has also built a loyal fan base on Instagram where she chronicles motherhood and life in the south through beautifully composed imagery. Elizabeth has been featured in many places, including One Kings Lane and most recently the December Issue of Southern Living Magazine. During our conversation, Elizabeth walked me through her full backstory and we also touched on reframing motherhood guilt, leaning into vulnerability, and how crucial it is to let go of perfectionism in order to live creativity fulfilled life.

Today I’m talking to Anastasia Andenmatten who is a San Francisco-based floral designer featured in Style Me Pretty & Green Wedding Shoes and she was also Weddingwire’s Couples Choice Award Winner during her first year in business. Anastasia’s business is centered around creating intentional sustainable designs that are thoughtful and create conversation. During our chat, Anastasia took me through her whole story, from getting her start in the magazine world in Pennsylvania to then taking a big leap into the San Francisco tech scene and then finally breaking out on her own as a floral designer. We talked about the guilt that can sometimes come from making the choice to purpose your creative passion full time, as well as, how important it is to know when to release control and just let your life happen to you sometimes. So whether you’re a budding creative entrepreneur or just in the market for beautiful flowers for your Bay Area wedding, I think you’ll find a lot of takeaways from our chat.

I’m kicking off 2021 with a very special conversation with Life and Leadership coach and author, Andrea DeWitt - aka MY MOM! I think my mom brings a really different perspective than a lot of my previous guests. Her career has unfolded in 10-year chunks, starting as a classroom teacher, then reading specialist, student advisor and now she's found her true passion as a life coach. Throughout my childhood, I always remember my mom being so focused on achieving her dreams and really prioritizing her dreams while also being an incredibly present mother.  It was such a privilege to get to highlight my mom and I know I’m a little bias but she really is so good at what she does!

Today I’m talking to Natalie Fersht, founder and lead designer of Hello Nat Studio which is a creative studio based in LA. Natalie has been running her studio for 4 years but she actually studied to be a teacher in college, then after realizing that wasn’t the path for her, she spent the first few years of her career working at a tech startup learning the ins and outs of social media and design which lead her into what she’s doing now with her full-service creative studio, Hello Nat. During our conversation, Natalie walked me through her design philosophy, how she works with clients, and how important it is to set aside your personal style and really focus on what your client wants. We also talked about Instagram, and I loved Natalie’s perspective of seeing it as more of a portfolio tool rather than a social networking platform that you have to be on every hour of the day.

Today I’m talking to K’era Morgan who is a LA-based artist and textile designer. Through her brand K’apostrophe, K’era sells her art in the form of throw blankets, decorative pillows, notebooks, and prints. She has a collection at West Elm and is also working with Revival Rugs on a collection. She has been featured in Lonny Magazine, Elle Decor, and Forbes to name a few and she has even more exciting projects in the works. During our conversation K’era and talked about her first career which was in PR and the moment when she realized it wasn’t fulfilling her anymore. We discussed trusting your gut and taking leaps even when you don’t have all the answers yet.

Today I’m talking to Suzanne Brosnan, the founder of LA based sustainable clothing brand, Zanni. In our interview, Suzanne explains how the idea for her brand came to her when she found herself running all over Boston in the Summer heat wishing she had clothes that could take her from comfortable commuting to business meetings. Suzanne’s background is in graphic design and UI and although Zanni is her main focus, she uses her expertise as a founder to consult for other businesses on the side. During our conversation, we talked about the early lessons that Suzanne learned the hard way when she first entered the fashion industry, how creativity in different forms can help to elevate your overall inspiration, and how important it is to trust both your yes's and your no's.
