So we are asking the question are labels helpful or limiting? And is the child just 3 or is there something else going on? We unpack this and delve into so much more, as we go off on other interesting tangents (as always!)

#114- Building and supporting resilience in children
In this episode Emily shares a current theme that has been present in her community over the past few months- resilience.
She talks about the two examples of where resilience has been a topic of conversation. This involves the heat wave we have had in Perth and how this has impacted the We Are Nature Network programs and has meant diving into the philosophy of programs, and how the changes in weather influences resilience building.
This discussion also involves a topic that was brough up in the VIP SEED membership, where a question was asked about competitive children. Emily shares her own experience of dealing with competitive children and how she dealt with this while tying in the topic of resilience.

In this episode we chat with Amy, wife and stay at home mama to 2 children. The birth of her daughter was a Caesarian section with a private obstetrician and on feeling a sense of loss about her first birth experience Amy went on to have a VBAC home birth with a private midwife and doula for her son. We talk about her long birth, how she didn't feel strong enough in her first pregnancy to say no to doctors and that vaginal birth felt important enough to them to really get educated and make that happen for the second birth.
