Great albums to listen to (from start to finish)

With the global pandemic forcing many countries into lockdown, The Hit Repeat guys took to INSTAGRAM LIVE to delve in to some great albums that are worth listening to from start to finish. These albums would arguably not have been the same if the songs were in another order or excluded from the compilation and each album offers not just music to listen to, but rather a musical journey to experience.

With examples ranging from Pink Floyd to Justin Timberlake, Dc Talk to Gustav Holst and more, the guys really explore a wide variety of artistry and skill that has emerged from the many years of music production that the modern age has seen.

Stay safe, wash your hands, throw on some headphones and enjoy!

Remember to check out the Spotify playlist where we compile all the songs that are referenced!

Band Dynamics (or the Master, the Servant and the Saboteur) w/ Emmanuel Adigun

The guys have their first official guest!
With the experience of mixing at least 1000 live shows over the last 10 years, engineer extraordinaire Emmanuel Adigun shares some helpful tips on Band Dynamics - how the interplay between different musicians and instruments can make an engineer's life significantly easier, how volume dynamics can adversely affect a mix and he also shares some of his pet peeves as an engineer.
Emmanuel then sheds some light on the challenges involved in mixing sound in the context of a church environment.
The guys finally have the first official "Take Your Pick" quiz. Tune in to see who wins!

Knowing when to Shut Up (and other traits of mature musicians) (Part 1 of 2)

We introduce ourselves, make a few jokes, speak about the ‘less is more’ concept of minimalism in music production and how creating space in music is about more than just being quiet.
