I’ve struggled with letting others get to me and alter my perception on how I live my life but not anymore. It’s time you start doing what’s best for you and realize not everything you see on social media is real.

Why am I so obsessed with getting likes?

Why am I so obsessed with getting likes?

This week, Jill G answers a listener's question on why we always feel we need to get a certain number of likes on our posts. There are 4 main components that have to do with why we feel an impulse to check on how our posts are doing after we posted a pic or video to our socials and why we can about how well they do. What we really need to care about, though, is letting go of that impulse and that "subtle addiction" to getting traction on our page.

How much is social media affecting today's political climate? Ft. Victoria L Spring Ph.D

This week, Jill G speaks to social psychologist Victoria Spring about how much social media is affecting the way we feel towards other people who don't stand with the same candidate as us. We are constantly seeing fake news and other ads that are curated for us to click on, do social media platforms really care about the polarization being caused by this? We also discuss how to find a middle ground when talking to someone who has different political views than you in a more constructive manner, why people care more about finding a significant other that has the same political views as them more than they do about observing the same religion, and much more!

Jill G shares why she thinks we judge other people that we may not even know, what judging others does to our own image, and when it's OK to judge someone.
