How a business in Pwllheli went from a pop-up to a successful venture!

Pam creu Tref SMART? / Why create a SMART Town?  Ceir y Dosbarthiadau Meistr yma eu cynnal gan Menter Môn drwy yr Hwb Menter a'u cefnogi gan Lywodraeth Cymru, fel rhan o'i hagenda adfywio canol tref 'Trawsnewid Trefi'.  These masterclasses are being held by Menter Môn through the Enterprise Hub and supported by the Welsh Government, as part of its ‘Transforming Towns’ town centre regeneration agenda.

Roedd sylfaenydd a Phrif Swyddog Gweithredol Tanya Whitebits, Shoned Owen sydd yn frodor o Gymru bob amser wedi bod â diddordeb yn y diwydiant Harddwch, yn enwedig lliw haul ers ei harddegau. Defnyddiodd welyau haul trwy gydol ei hugeiniau nes i beryglon canser y croen a heneiddio croen ei throsi i ddefnyddio cynhyrchion lliw haul eu hunan.

Dechreuodd Tanya Whitebits fywyd fel Datrysiad Lliwio Proffesiynol yn ôl yn 2013 ar ôl i Shoned ddadrithio gyda’r hyn a oedd ar gael yn y diwydiant lliw haul ar y pryd.

Dechreuodd Shoned archwilio ffurfio hunan lliw haul yn 2013. Yn benderfynol o gael gwared ar yr holl rwystrau a oedd fel arfer yn gysylltiedig â lliw haul ffug, daeth ei ffocws i realiti wrth greu Tanya Whitebits; fformiwla ansawdd cyflym, heb arogl a ddim yn ludiog.

Founder and CEO of Tanya Whitebits, Welsh-native Shoned Owen had always been interested in the Beauty industry, particularly tanning since her teens. She used sun beds throughout her twenties until the dangers of skin cancer and premature skin ageing converted her to self tanning products.

Tanya Whitebits began life as a Professional Tanning Solution back in 2013 after Shoned became disillusioned with what was available in the tanning industry at the time.

Shoned began to explore the formulation of self tan in 2013. Determined to remove all the barriers that were normally associated with fake tannning, her focus came to reality in the creation of Tanya Whitebits; a fast drying quality, non sticky and odour free formula.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the media and public relations, Martin cut his teeth at several newspaper titles including the North Wales Weekly News, Visitor series and Daily Post, where he was a news and sports reporter, before moving across to become Business Editor.

Sefydlodd Teresa ei chwmni marchnata ei hun yn 2005 TBC Marketing a sylweddoli cymaint nad oedd hi'n ei wybod am redeg busnes llwyddiannus. Roedd y blynyddoedd cynnar hynny yn gromlin ddysgu serth a rhoddodd gipolwg gwych iddi ar y treialon a'r gorthrymderau o redeg busnes llwyddiannus. Sylweddolodd Teresa y gall fod yn lle unig ar brydiau, ond daw'r mewnwelediadau mwyaf o amgylchynu'ch hun gyda phobl o'r un anian sydd yno i gynnig cefnogaeth ac arweiniad.

Mae gan Teresa gryfder naturiol o fod eisiau datblygu pobl eraill i gyflawni eu nodau busnes eu hunain. Pa ffordd well o wneud hynny ond defnyddio ei doniau marchnata i hyfforddi a hyfforddi eraill? Dyna pryd y creodd gangen hyfforddi ei busnes. Ers hynny mae Teresa wedi hyfforddi a hyfforddi ymhell dros fil o berchnogion a rheolwyr busnes i'w helpu i fod y gorau y gallant fod ac mae'r canlyniadau ar eu busnesau yn anhygoel.

2005 Teresa Carnell set up her own marketing company TBC Marketing and realised how much she did not know about running a successful business. Those early years were a steep learning curve and gave her a great insight into the trials and tribulations of running a successful business. Teresa realised it can be a lonely place at times, but the greatest insights come from surrounding yourself with like-minded people who are there to offer support and guidance.

Teresa has a natural strength of wanting to develop other people to achieve their own business goals. What better way to do that but to utilise her marketing talents to train and coach others? That is when she created the training arm of her business. Teresa has since trained and coached well over a thousand business owners and managers to help them be the best they can be and the results on their businesses are amazing.
