Episode 32: APRIL FOOLS!!!
FOOLED YOU! There’s no episode from me this time! Instead, as part of a cross-promotional initiative by Moxie at Your Brain on Facts, I’m sharing an episode from The Vocal Fries Podcast. Vocal Fries is a podcast about linguistic discrimination hosted by Carrie and Megan where they discuss language and interview guests about language and our use of language. In this episode, they discuss profanity in the context of the Netflix documentary “A History of Swearing” hosted by Nicholas Cage. Sufficed to say, this episode is NSFW. But, that’s no excuse not to listen or to subscribe to their podcast.

Quick Hit 015: Why Don't We Have More Than Two Political Parties?
At this point, I'm like Michael Corleone in Godfather III, every time I get out, politics pulls me back in. It's longer than the usual quick hit, but still goes by pretty quick, especially with music added in.

Episode 31: What the F@#k Was That?!
NSFW! There are so many f-bombs in this episode, it's like Tarantino wrote it. I took some time off, got the election out of my system, recharged the ole batteries, and was ready to resume podcasting in 2021. I even had a topic researched and an episode ready to record. Then a bunch of brown-shirts, at the behest of the Orange God King, stormed the Capitol Building to try to put the fear of God, or to hasten their meeting God, in the United States Congress and/or the Vice President of the United States. So, guess what this episode is about. I'm not kidding about the language, though. This was a cathartic expulsion of 5 years of frustration culminating in an epic rant instigated by an epic, historical event (and not a good one). There's not even music in this episode except at the beginning and the end. If you're a Trump fan or a Trump supporter, and you don't want to hear it, you should probably skip this one.

Episode 30: So, How About that Election?!
In the midst of a raging pandemic, we had an election. You might have heard about it. Fortunately, it ended with the promised expulsion of President Oompa Loompa. But it wasn’t boring and it wasn’t without things to think about…and talk about going forward. In this episode, I wax rhapsodic on some of those storylines for the future. Also, at the end, I look back on the end of Marvel’s Agents of Shield. Come for the punditry, stick around for the geekery.

Episode 29: What is a 'Flight 93 Election'?
Election Day draws near…THE END IS NIGH!!! Or so we were pseudonymously told 4 years ago (in an obscure right-wing publication) and again still today. In this episode, we go back 4 years and explore the ‘Flight 93 Election’ metaphor by going to the source material and evaluating its effectiveness, and histrionic shortcomings. It’s a metaphor that hasn’t gone away and is just as relevant in 2020 as it was in 2016.

Quick Hit 014: Elementary in the Time of Covid
I've avoided Covid-19 as a topic for the show...until now. But, I thought a testimonial from a fifth-grader about how different school is now compared to one year ago would be a good contribution. Plus, it gave me an excuse to get my daughter on the show...

Quick Hit 013: Is It Okay to Forget 9/11?
As we commemorate the 19th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, I thought I would raise this question that’s becoming more relevant with the passage of time. With have a generation that has been born since 9/11 and how they view that terrible event is different than how I view that event or how my parents or grandparents view that event. The inevitable prism of history is beginning to emerge. So, with that understanding, is it okay to forget 9/11?

Episode 26: A Show Within A Show in the Aftermath of George Floyd's Murder
On May 30th, 2020, I recorded a complete episode in the days after the murder of George Floyd, weeks after the murder of Breonna Taylor, and months after the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. I stopped in the middle of my edit and held onto the episode, greatly influenced and persuaded by my #podfamily on Twitter. Now, after more time and more perspective, I'm adding my contribution, such as it is, to the ongoing discussions that we're all having on these issues. It's a show within a show, so to speak, with my quasi-visceral thoughts in the aftermath of George Floyd's murder.

Episode 25: Do you know what MTV used to stand for?
Do you remember when MTV stood for Music Television? No? That’s because it was a long long long time ago when it did. In another quarantine-based nostalgia trip, I go back and talk about when MTV was at the ZENITH of its power in the late 80s and early 90s as the quintessential pop culture force in American and possibly the world. Episode 23: What's Going On (Besides a Pandemic)?
Time waits for no one. All kinds of egg on my face in this episode. First, I had to do an update/correction from the last episode (Yes, about Curtis Hill). I spent a lot of time talking about Bernie’s intransigence, then he dropped out of the race four days later. Otherwise, in this NON-COVID episode, I talk about Star Trek: Picard, Tom Brady’s new job, my adieu to Bernie Bros, and why I hope movie theaters survive this pandemic….plus new theme music…

Quick Hit 009: What is Identity?
Identity is such a complicated word with so many applications and connotations that this was really the only way to discuss it without creating a whole new podcast for it. This Quick Hit isn’t comprehensive in any conceivable way and it isn’t intended to be. This subject, though, is the embodiment of what this podcast tries to do, when it’s not mired in the indulgences of its host.

Episode 19: What's Your Favorite Curse Word??!! (Epically NSFW)
I LOVE PROFANITY! It’s fun. It’s dynamic. It’s effective. In this episode, I discuss my love for this topic, I teach the mouse in my pocket a little bit about George Carlin and how he inadvertently ended up in front of the Supreme Court, and I fixate a little too much on Dennis Franz's ass (You see, kids, Dennis Franz was an acclaimed actor in the 90s on the now quaint cop show NYPD Blue).

Episode 16: What is Virtue Signaling? (Everybody does it...)
This was a surprising episode in regards to the primary topic. I was expecting to get all ranty like the Incel episode. Instead, though, through the power of extremely limited research, I revised my approach. Also covered on this episode are my affinities for Dwayne Johnson and Star Trek: The Motion Picture as well as the absence of movies about September 11, 2001. Check out @IncelProject, which I namedrop toward the end. Also, stick around for an ad for @Morbidology at the end.
Episode 15: What is Our Current Economic Situation Anyway?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and an MBA. I'm also a political junkie with a minor in Political Science. So, in this episode, in an effort to help those with insomnia...or constipation, I'm gonna bring all of my poor educational choices together and talk about trade, Brexit, tax cuts, the Fed, and Trump.

Episode 1: The Phantom Pilot (Remastered)
In honor of the One-Year Anniversary of the show, I thought it would be nice to walk down memory lane by rebroadcasting the Pilot Episode (back when the show was called I Have Questions). However, to score cheap publicity, I've remastered this episode to improve the audio quality of my voice (because it's all about me), replaced the intro music with something that sounds better, as well as exit music. The music added are new compositions (using loops in Garageband). And, much like Dark Side of the Moon, I'm sure this will not be my only crack at remastering this episode (see me in 2020).

Though I'm two weeks late, it's the one year anniversary of the podcast (don't worry, I don't treat my wedding anniversary the same way). So, to celebrate, ANOTHER Curtis Hill update. No single topic covered here. Just a bunch of random thoughts that have popped into my head over the past week. Please review the Open Submissions policy if you'd like to be a guest on the show, or a guest host, or a permanent host...or if you'd like to buy the show outright...
Quick Hit 007: What is a tariff?
There is a random error in the editing, which I apologize for, but it doesn't effect the overall mini-sode. This is the first part in a series going into select aspects of our current trade policy and some of the background that goes into them.
Episode 11: So What's Up With The Mueller Report?
After the ultimate geekiness of the Star Wars Megasode, I thought I'd wade into the Mueller Report and try to put it into context to a certain extent. But rather than rehash the report, which you should try to read, I thought I would recite directly from other sources instead.
Episode 10B: The STAR WARS MEGA-SODE (Part 2)!!!!
The EPIC conclusion to the TRIUMPHANT return (from hiatus) of the IHSMQ podcast (Thoughts on the acronym?).
Episode 10A: The STAR WARS MEGA-SODE (PART 1)!!!!
I'M BACK!!! A 2.5 hour episode had to be broken up into two parts. Why so long? Star Wars...nuff said...
Open Submission!
The show has implemented an Open Submission policy regarding guests, guest hosts, and/or cohosts...on a one-time, interim, temporary, or permanent basis!
Quick Hit 006: Reassurance and Serenity
THE SHOW'S NOT DEAD!
Quick Hit 005: Ralph Northam and Episode 6
The recent turmoil in Virginia regarding Gov. Ralph Northam's, alleged, prior racial insensitivities allowed me to swing back around to Episode 6. It's not necessary to listen to Episode 6 before this Quick Hit, but you should definitely swing around to it to get the full context.
Quick Hit 004: Dysfunction vs. Malfunction (NSFW)
If you're not comfortable with a 5-letter word that rhymes with cleanest the meanest, this is probably not a good one for you.
Episode 9: What's Been Going On?
A contemporaneous episode about current events...more or less. Within 24 hours of this episode being recorded, one topic discussed had changed...go figure.
Quick Hit 003: 5 Audio Drama Recommendations
A kid-friendly episode! Given my podcast obsession, I thought I would recommend 5 audio dramas that I thoroughly enjoy (as much as my opinion matters). Be warned. "EOS 10" and "Hello From The Magic Tavern" are not kid-friendly, if your kids are under the age of 15 or so. These audio dramas should be on any platform where you get your podcast fix from.
Episode 8: Is there a War on Christmas?
SALTY LANGUAGE ALERT!!
This is likely the last episode of 2018 and it seemed appropriate to address one of the more cynical efforts at generating controversy in recent years (Can you tell my view on this question?).
Quick Hit 002 - The Hunt for Enjoying the Cold War
Episode 7: Show Changes? / Curtis Hill Update / A Great Rapper?
