Look For The Helpers: Liz Upton & Jennifer White talk Mr. Rogers
Mr. Rogers continues to inspire us and the helpers in our community. His T.V. show, Mister Rogers Neighborhood, captured the hearts of kids and adults all over the world. But it wasn't just an entertaining show, built on fostering connection and childhood development, Mister Rogers Neighborhood pioneered educational television giving children a safe place to be belong and learn. Back in November 2019, ICT S.O.S. held a special private screening of A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood celebrating some of the helpers in Wichita. We interviewed helpers during the event to find out what they loved about Mr. Rogers and why they decided to become a helper. Liz Upton, MSW and Jennifer White discuss the life of Mr. Rogers and his pioneering work. For show notes and more information about ICT S.O.S., please visit: www.ictsos.org/blog
