Katherine can currently be seen onstage in Netflix's theatrical debut Money Heist: The Experience, and this spring, Katherine will be opening the world premiere play Chasing Andy Warhol, Off-Broadway with Bated Breath Theatre Company. Since September 2020, she has been performing in and Rehearsal Director for the only long-running pandemic friendly show in NYC - VOYEUR: The Windows of Toulouse Lautrec. She is also a member of the company that helped to bring Broadway back to NYC, performing weekly in Times Square with Jena VanElsander's #TSQProject. Off Broadway: Sleepy Hollow, Turkeys Go On Strike. Regional: Lola in Damn Yankees (BroadwayWorld Award for Best Actress In A Musical), La Cage Aux Folles, The Murder Room (Woodstock Playhouse), The Music Man, Beauty And The Beast (Berkshire Theatre Group), Shevil (Toronto Fringe). Film/TV: Billions (Season 6), Russian Doll (Season 2), Gossip Girl, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Season 4)Katherine has performed and choreographed across New York City, Toronto, and The US at such venues as Radio City Music Hall, Feinstein’s/54 Below, Birdland, and many more. Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Katherine is a graduate of NYU's Tisch New Studio on Broadway with a BFA (Hons) in Drama. Behind the scenes, Katherine is the Development Coordinator of The Verdon Fosse Legacy, the Communications Manager of Superior Theatre Festival, the Assistant to the Artistic Producer, Chilina Kennedy, of Eclipse Theatre Company and also runs their Mentorship, Training and Opportunity Platform. She serves on the board of Jazz Dance Project, and previously worked for Dance Lab New York (formerly Broadway Dance Lab) under Josh Prince.

Film work includes: Equity, Ask For Jane, Irrational Man, and the upcoming features Give Me Pity and The Raging Heart of Maggie Acker. She produced and starred in the short YOYO, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. She is also the co-host of  Having A Night, a podcast dedicated to reviving the lost art of the dinner party! Having spent seven years in New Haven -- first as an undergraduate at Yale studying Sociology, then as a grad student at the Yale School of Drama -- she feels entitled to answer all your pizza questions. Matthew started acting in 2009 and decided to pursue it as a full time career. Knowing nothing about the business, Matt is finding his footing with great teachers, friends, family, and a couple of strangers along the way. Matthew started acting professionally in 2017 when he moved back to his home city of Chicago, IL where he landed his first speaking role on Chicago's staple television show Chicago P.D. in 2019. After another couple of months, he decided it was finally time to move to Los Angeles during the pandemic (like a crazy person) and make his dream a reality.

Angela has played almost every single iconic lead female role and in this episode she shares her most inspiring audition stories as well as her most traumatic . Angela is a fountain of audition wisdom and this conversation is a must for all aspiring performers. About the Guest: Angela stage and screen career has been one that many performers only get to dream of. She grew up in Port Elizabeth, where she was ‘discovered’ by legendary SA teacher and director Robin Williams. She obtained her London Trinity Performers Diploma at the Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town and has since played some of the most coveted female roles in musical theatre. Roles include: Hodel & Tzeitel in productions of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Fleur du Cap & Mercury Awards), Eva Peron in EVITA (Vita Award), Anna Leonowens in THE KING AND I (Showtime Award), Eliza Doolittle in MY FAIR LADY (Naledi Award), Miss Dorothy Brown in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, Cinderella in INTO THE WOODS (Fleur du Cap Award), Marilyn Monroe in MARILYN LIVE (Vita Award), Babette in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and she also starred in the Opera Extravaganza OPERA MANIA, and played Farrah Delamitri in Ben Elton’s play POPCORN. Angela was part of the World Touring Company of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical CATS (Naledi nomination), in which she played the role of Jellylorum/Griddlebone in opera houses and stadiums around the world. Television credits include roles in: 37 HONEY STREET (Sheena), 7de LAAN, ISIDINGO (Frieda), and BINNELANDERS (Claudia). She has presented a number of programs including THE GREEN MACHINE, HOSANNA, 3:16, ISSUES OF FAITH and various TV ads and infomercials. Angela has also had the opportunity to work on the other side of the camera, directing and producing various inserts. Her voice can also be heard on radio and TV ads. Back on stage - in the last few years, Angela played Rose Vibert in ASPECTS OF LOVE, directed by Nikolai Foster at the Civic Theatre, and after returning from China where she was performing in HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL at the Shanghai Grand Theatre, she once again be donned her kitty tail, this time to play Grizabella in Pieter Torien’s latest production of CATS. That was followed by a season as Eva Peron in EVITA (Naledi Award), and portrayed the dark and mysterious Madame Giry (Fleur du Cap Award) in the South African leg of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Angela then took on the role of a lifetime as Norma Desmond in SUNSET BOULEVARD (Fleur du Cap Award) for Pieter Torien Productions, playing to full houses and 5 star reviews! A career highlight! She has just returned to SA after 15 months on CATS, this time on an international tour of South Korea, Singapore and Macau. She was last seen playing the evil Queen Narsissa in the Afrikaans production - SNEEUWITJIE for Add-Life productions – a wonderful experience performing in her second language. Paul offers his perspectives not only as a teacher but as a director and as an actor.

About the Guest:

Paul's professional career started as an actor in Musical Theatre Productions  His performance credits include: Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Peter Pan, Camelot, Mame and Fiddler on the Roof. After working in South Africa, Paul moved to London where he spent the next 8 years. Whilst in London, he completed an MA with in Theatre Directing  It was as a director that he continued to develop his career in the UK, first as Trainee Director and subsequently as Education Associate for The Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond. He was then appointed as Associate Director of The Bridewell Theatre just off London’s West End and he was Acting Artistic Director for a time. In 2006 Paul returned to South Africa and was appointed head of Drama and Musical Theatre at WTS.  His independent company, “Big Leaf Productions", was set up to produce numerous plays and musicals..  As trustee of the Imbewu Trust, Paul was awarded the 2017 Fleur du Cap Award for Innovation in Theatre, specifically for development in new writing.  He is the Director of the Helen O’ Grady: Development Through Drama Academy-the largest single academy for young people in South Africa.

He, along with his husband, are featured in a national ad for Prudential.

In the first episode of Season 3 host Actress Tarryn Steyn is joined by South African Actress, Singer and Dancer Kirsten Murphy Rossiter.
Born and raised in the beautiful city of Cape Town, Kirsten trained at The Waterfront Theatre
College for 4 years. In 2010, fresh out of theatre school Kirsten landed one of her dream roles
playing Marty (U/S Sandy) in Grease the musical, touring New Zealand and Hong Kong and SA.
Most recently Kirsten performed the role of Claire in Ordinary Days produced by Square Pegged
Productions, a production company that she started with two friends. Previous stage credits
include three seasons of The Fugard Theatre’s production of West Side Story . Kirsten was cast in David Kramer’s production of Some Like it Vrot.
Tinkerbell in Peter Pan.. She played Francine in the Jersey Boys touring company which toured SA, Singapore, Istanbul and Kuala Lumpur. Kirsten recently played the character Fit Bitch in the South African tv series Tali’s Baby Diary.
When Kirsten is not performing she runs her own business called Kirsten Murphy Makeup and
works as a makeup artist and hairstylist.

When it comes to the entertainment industry Shari has done it all, acting, singing directing, modeling you name it shes done it. Shari is probably most well known for her role as Julie Gillette on the long running 80s TV show Hotel. This Week Tarryn chats to South African Actor Michael William Wallace. Self made creative entrepreneur, Michael William Wallace, started his career as a performing artist. Acquiring his accreditation from Trinity College of London, Michael went on to perform in various theatre productions locally and internationally. Such productions include the European tour of Show Boat, the Fugard theatre's acclaimed Rocky Horror Show, Cabaret, West Side Story and Showtimes Priscilla Queen of the desert. Michael has starred in a number of commercials for brands such as BMW, Samsung, Heineken and Nintendo worldwide campaigns reaching over 28 Million views globally. After starting Madevu Entertainment, his own production company with business partner Zolani Shangase in 2017, Michael went on to produce and direct numerous projects along with starting another two business, The Green House Grocer and Chocolate Mmmms. With a residency at the University of Johannesburg and a new partnership with BASA (Business & Arts South Africa) his journey in becoming a mentor and facilitator in the creative industry began. Michael’s need to change and evolve the South African creative industry remains his primary and ongoing ambition.

Andrew is an actor and producer based in New York City. Most recently seen as The Constable in the Broadway National tour of Fiddler on the roof, and very much looking forward to returning to the road when theatre resumes in the US. Additional national tour credits include Kinky Boots (US and Asia tours), Bullets Over Broadway, Jekyll and Hyde. Andrew has also performed with Disney Cruise Lines aboard the Disney Dream. Andrew is also a Co-Producer of the Broadway musical Be More Chill, which also opened on the West End in February 2020. in 2018, Andrew served as the executive producer for the GRAMMY Nominated cast album of My Fair Lady.

This week Tarryn chats to South African Singer and Actress Lucy Tops. After leaving the Waterfront Theatre School Lucy began her performing career at a Hilton Hotel in China. Thereafter she came home to work for The Barnyard Theatre in tribute shows such as Dancing Queen, Hollywood Rocks and Glory Days. She has also worked with the Mike McCully Band and still performs regularly with them in the group Mike & the Harmonix. Lucy joined forces with FollowSpot Productions where she co-wrote and starred in her one woman show Absolucy directed by Alex Tops which successfully debuted at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival. She has also performed in a variety of FollowSpot’s popular shows such as Big Girls, Face The Music and Another Day. Lucy performed in Soul Classics’ Black Ties & Friends at the Baxter Theatre, the Fugard Theatre’s The Rocky Horror Show, a tribute show Stealing The Show: Bette Midler, Ganarama’s Back To School Boogie at the Artscape Theatre and the musical romance Bar None, as well as Bon Soir . For the role of Betty in Bar None, she was nominated for a Fleur du Cap Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical or Music Theatre Show.  Highlights include performing in the Fugard Theatre’s Funny Girl where Lucy was the alternate lead, Fanny Brice, a role made famous by Barbara Streisand. She then played the role of Nurse in the play Shakespeare In Love, as well as Laura in Significant Other.
