Designers are always going to have to deal with clients that do not have a budget or are not wanting to pay as much. Sometimes it is worth doing the free work or the cheaper work. But you need to make that choice. What is not worth it is clients who are willing to pay.

As an inhouse designer you will wear many hats one of the most important hats you have to wear that is the brand identity enforcer. You need to make sure that everyone in the company is using the logo the right way and is not showing the logo in a way that is damaging. Also you need to make sure that you are using the logo but you need to know when to break the rules.

Freelancers only have so much time in a day with their work. That is why it matters for freelance designers to find the right clients. We all go through different stages as creative, designer, etc. I think that there are specific stages everyone goes through as a creative and some people find stages that they are comfortable with and do not desire to keep moving. These stages include hobbyist, amateur, professional, and master. Each of these have multiple different levels inside of them. Also people will find that they are perfectly okay with some of these categories and that is okay. As designers and creatives you do not need to always be top of the food chain.
