The Innerspace Revolution Podcast
By Lupa Lualo
I'm an artist, designer and techie forever studying the most elusive superpower we humans have: our creativity.
My goal is to help myself and other curious souls travel beyond constant optimization and dig up our creative potential, showing you the endless tools we have to harness it. What happens when we collectively venture into our inner worlds, when we master our minds beyond the pop culture to-do list for positive thinking, and embrace the depth of who we are?

21: Illuminating the Cosmic Composition
What might happen if we started to treat the universe and life as living art? In this New Moon in Aquarius episode, I discuss my rekindled fire for myth and astrology, and how the purest way we love and connect with art at a museum or in a live performance is a clue for how the universe itself wishes to be engaged. The composition of life itself is shifting toward brilliance, and we are here to light things up.
20: Collaborating with A.I. (Authentic Intelligence)
What's the point of creativity if there's something out there that can crowdsource from the collective field to come up with something 100x "better"?
A year-end reflection on how cutting edge technologies may be the keys to escaping the matrix, but not in the way that you think. In this episode I share what A.I. tells us about ourselves, my personal Scorpio season challenges and how they mirror wider societal struggles with self-doubt and value, and finally, my answer to "What's the point?"

19: What's Coming: The Game Changes When You're Having Fun 💫
What's the cheat code to life? Listen to the potentially last Innerspace Revolution episode of the year, where I talk about what exactly I've been exploring while not podcasting, give you some end of year reflections on what I see coming for all of us in this Earth game, and what is coming next for Innerspace Revolution; as a podcast, but also a growing space for sharing creative magic and collaboration. I also explain what exactly yoga nidra is, why it's so powerful, and how I'm bringing it into the energy of Innerspace Revolution.

18: Creativity Is Conscious Discernment
We say things like, the French have discerning taste when it comes to good cuisine.
Or, this filmmaker has a discerning eye for quiet cityscapes.
Discernment implies a unique perspective. It is an active internal practice that is essential to art, but also navigating life. Think of it like a mental muscle that gets stronger more you utilize it and trust its strength; it becomes more apt with time as you start to recognize what styles, techniques, and philosophies feel in integrity with your true point-of-view at any given moment.
In this episode, I walk you through my perspective on how discernment is a deep internal practice that ultimately lends itself to not only quality and innovation, but more importantly, self-actualization.
17: Creativity Is Writing Your Own Narrative
We may not tell stories around the fire as much as we did hundreds of years ago, but at least we have bureaucratic narratives!
Narratives exist everywhere and are core to societal functioning, but why are the ones that run the world so emotionally draining?
Listen in for my experience working in the media and corporate machine, what I’ve learned from it, and how it has shaped my perspective about storytelling. Surprisingly, I’m still highly optimistic. I also throw in some controversial examples of how I perceive current narratives.
What narratives are you writing?
Creativity Magic #5: Interpreting Your Dreams as a Survival Skill
It may be a meme to make fun of people who talk about their dreams, but I am all about it! In this episode I go meta and show you how I self-interpret one of my own dreams, hopefully in a way that is helpful in showing you how honoring your dreams can be a gentle way to change the trajectory of your life by paying attention to how you feel today.
16: Exploring Value and Money as Creative Energy
Have you ever thought very hard about the concept of value?
How aware are you of how you express your perception of value when it comes to the things and people around you, and what might that all say about how you value yourself?
Everyone has deep triggers around what we value and most of us will do anything not to deal with them. What I’m going to cover today is this basic idea- that what we value and put energy toward in this world directly reflects how much we recognize our inherent value as a human being.
15: Creativity Is Self-Sovereignty
What is the importance of healing to become self-sovereign, and how can we distinguish this energy from heartlessness, or from co-depedent patterns in our 1:1 relationships and in the greater world? In this episode I go into shamanic storytime, busting out the abstractions to help us dive deeper into how powerful our energy actually is, and how the way we share energy with ourselves and others creates the collective consciousness and life as we know it.
14: Creativity Is Embracing the Language of Abstraction
Symbols, abstraction, and mythology are part of the same powerful language of the soul that activates creativity in all forms. In this episode I go through the spectrum of symbolic language- from the practical use of symbol to create changes in your life, to relating to your subconscious, and on the far end of the spectrum- using symbol and myth to commune compassionately with the environment, the world, and all of its magical mysteries.
13: The Revolution Is an Inside Job
Creativity Magic #4: How Dreaming Connect You with Your Interdimensional Self
What is the interdimensional self? It's not science-fiction, but actually more accessible and natural than you think. It doesn't require you to dismiss your very valuable logical right brain, although some of you may need to put yours on pause for a moment. Our interdimensional selves speak a different language, the language of art and metaphor, and dreaming is just one way it communicates with you to connect and help you attain balance to awaken your natural creativity.
This closes Season One of Innerspace Revolution! See you in 2022, but follow me on IG @innerspacerevolution in the mean time.
11: Life Beyond Anxiety and Depression
In this episode I talk about my childhood and young adult experience with (undiagnosed) depression and social anxiety, my early lessons on self-responsibility, how I "recovered" through physiological, studious, and spiritual means, and how I continue to integrate the remnants of that time into my daily life. This work takes a lifetime, guys. I also share some brief opinions on how pop culture and attachments to identities may collectively contribute to mental health epidemics, even if they are well-intentioned. Obligatory I am not a medical professional and this is not medical advice.

10: Why and How to Heal in Difficult Times
In this episode I answer a big question from my IG (@innerspacerevolution): How to heal when there is so much pain?
I give you my take on the question, in three levels. How healing is about understanding the difference between love and fear within ourselves and others. What it means to transcend this duality of love and fear, darkness and light. And finally, how our history and systems can impact our smallest individual experiences and actions with each other, and vice versa- underscoring the importance of self-healing now more than ever. Shout outs to Asin who closes us out at the end.
09: Creativity Is Embracing Uncertainty
If uncertainty is the pathway to all possibility, how do we even start to navigate it? In this episode I share what I've learned about uncertainty from the playground that is design thinking, why I think the promise of certainty is the true snake oil, and also (at the behest of my intuition) reluctantly share a personal anecdote related to the global uncertainty we're experiencing right now that strongly illuminates one of many ways to balance "planning accordingly" and "trusting your intuition" in difficult times. - ***Obligatory Disclaimer: I am not a doctor and none of what I say in here is a recommendation***
Creativity Magic #2: Sanctity aka Owning Your Energy Space
It’s about time I do another episode of Creativity Magic, where I give you quick tips on how to channel more creative energy into your life! This one is literally about treating yo self, but not with spas, nice things, and mani-pedis. How do you clear your space on the regular? Incense is good, but do you pay attention to the purity of information that comes your way in this modern world? I'll share my tips on how I try to stay balanced, and talk about why I think getting a handle on your tech and privacy is important to sacredness.

08: Creativity Is a Paradox
Why I think creativity, as we know it at this moment, is ultimately a paradox. And why accepting paradoxes is fuel for creativity. Does your brain hurt yet?
This episode should also start to answer this foundational questions for listeners new and old: Why do I even talk about creativity? And I'll at least start to answer why my perspective of creativity became so spiritual after starting, just like you, in the more pragmatic "I want to access creativity for my career/hobby/personal satisfaction" space.

07: Creativity Is HODLing the Vision
As a designer, I use visualization and conceptualization constantly in my work and often come across the perspective that it is all fluff if there are no immediate outcomes. Understandable, since businesses work with quarterly goals, and visualizations work in the realm beyond time and space. Why is imagination and visualization so powerful in creativity and collaboration, and what can it look like in your personal life?
(Sorry, we're not gonna go at length about cryptocurrency in this one, we're using the word HODL in this case to speak of "holding a vision, no matter what")
Creativity Magic #1: Nature
In this episode, I literally tell you to just go outside. This is a quick intro to a new series on this pod called "Creativity Magic" where I share what kinds of things have helped me in my creative process, from the standard to the metaphysical. What kinds of things have helped me go deep in understanding myself as human, and why does understanding our human-ness unlock our naturally unbridled creativity?
The first "tool" in this series, is of course, Mother Nature herself. What is your relationship with nature?

06: Creativity Is Reclaiming Productivity
What is the "industrial productivity complex"? It's the phrase I made up to describe the version of productivity that we talk about when we say "we're not being productive" while resting on a Saturday, or are "more productive" in office environments. But what does it really mean? I unpack what I think, ask a lot of questions, and share how I think we can return to the true aligned version of productivity that can help us get back into the creative zone and feel more fulfilled and unblocked when it comes to our flow states. 05: Creativity Is Curiosity and Compassion
In this episode I go deeper into the topics I brought up in Episode 3, Creativity Is Beyond Duality, and share a general tactic that I personally use to uncover the endless 'whys' behind our personal thoughts and traumas, using curiosity and compassion. This is obviously going to be a different process for everyone, so this is only meant to be an example. I'll definitely get into more tactics and methods as I record more episodes.

04: Creativity Is Respecting Inner Authority
Why it's important to get to know your inner compass, and learn how to balance it with other voices (who may or may not be in tune with the truths of their own inner and outer worlds). Also, follow me on Instagram @innerspacerevolution
03: Creativity Is Beyond Duality
Long time, no update! I've been thinking a lot about community living and what it means to create collectively. This is not a super tactical or practical how-to episode, but another reflection on the mindset-shifting needed on the individual level in order to build effectively on the collective level. I read a passage that I wrote the other day when thinking about how to balance taking care of yourself with the desire to take care of others and "save / impact the world." 02: Creativity Is Shared Success
A brief reflection on design and what I often hear from others who wish they were "more creative." These days, being a designer is less about solo pixel-pushing and more about creating the space for others to access their emotional selves, share ideas, collaborate openly and build successfully. 01: Creativity Is the Way We See
What we believe at any moment affects how we see, which in turn changes how and what we can create for ourselves and for the world. When we see with an open mind, with discernment, and with healthy boundaries, the possibilities are endless. Follow me on IG @innerspacerevolution
