Let's Talk About It discusses Why Every Case Must Matter with Yolanda
Yolanda McNair age 55. Mother of Adaisha Miller, who was killed by an Off-duty Detroit police officer Isaac Lee Parrish III, on July 08, 2012 one day before her 25th Birthday. President of Protect Our Stolen Treasures (P.O.S.T.). A non-profit organization that was formed by family members of Police Murder Victims.
Tawanna Wilson is a chapter leader of am a part of P.O.S.T. She has become active in response to so many homicides her own city (including family members and friends).
Yolanda was born and raised in Detroit, MI, Yolanda McNair was raised with a strong sense of Human rights and that lives are to be respected and fought for. Yolanda has created a campaign calling out prosecutors and district attorneys on their failure to perform their duties and protect the lives of the citizens and their cities. Their failure to prosecute officers who commit murder and other crimes against the citizens and their cities. The campaign is called Feet To Fire Campaign, a multi-state one day protest. It happens once a month, for two hours and includes a "Chalk Walk" placing the names of loved one lost in a heart in front of said state's officers office.
Tawanna started out with another organization in Charlotte that also supports families of homicide victims in a different way. Still a part of the organization, being a part of P.O.S.T maximizes her ability to contribute toward the reduction of homicides rates. While providing grief support to the families, with P.O.S.T. she can be the change.
