We discuss the real way to barbecue food, how he learnt his craft, his friendship with Jamie Oliver and the 15 programme. This weeks guest is musician Fin Furey. We discuss growing up in a well known musical family, the ideas and inspiration behind his own music, and his music plans going forward. This weeks guest is a friend of mine who has an interesting story, Shauna is a very brave human being who has made changes in her life to make herself happy, no matter how others feel about it. I have purposely not put too much detail here as there is a poem read at the start of the podcast, which I wrote about Shauna a few years ago, which explains who she is, from there we get into a great, open and honest conversation which i hope you enjoy as much as I did.

This weeks guest is Lucca Allen, a very interesting young man who is on his way to the top of motor sport. Lucca is the son and grandson of the celebrity chefs Rachel and Darina Allen, who started in Karting and worked his way up to become the current South East Asia F4 champion by the age of 17. We discuss growing up in Ballymaloe  House and how food and fresh produce have been a big part of his family, how he got into motor sport, what is like as a young man travelling the world to drive the best tracks available, the dedication needed to get to the top and the modelling side of his brand.

This weeks guest is a young man who is doing everything he can to live out his dream. Wanny is a musician from Scotland and is very keen on learning about his history and roots, he has also had a place in his heart for his second home, Jamaica, where he and his good friend own some land and are building a yard. Wanny tells us about how he fell in love with Rastafari, how he spends his time between Jamaica and Scotland, how this influences his music, we discuss his songs and idea behind them and go on tangents about language, life and more.

The Coronavirus pandemic causer with some music industry stories.

Amy has been a regular visitor to China over the last 20 years and was last there in January. We discuss the state of play in China and France, where she is based now and how the French people love a riot and protest! We also touch on the music industry which Amy has had access to over the years and she spills the beans on which artists are Divas, and which ones are down to earth. A really enjoyable catch up, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I really enjoyed this chat with Richard, we discuss how he got into photography and how he focused on his passion to make his hobby get so out of hand, it became his full time job. We also discuss 'that photo', which has been the game changer for him, how he thought a royal purchase was a wind up and also how behind the scenes, there is a lot of dirty work to do to get the beautiful imagery we finally see.

First off, this is not for the faint hearted, I got Stevie Nix back, along with Chris and Dave, great mates from Lanzarote, to sit down for a catch up. We discuss what its like in France and Lanza, where the lads live, conspiracy theorists, football and the so much more I cannot recall!!! I laughed from start to finish with this one and let the lads do their thing, there was certainly no need to keep the chat going from my side! Don't listen around the kids and enjoy!

I have an very insightful chat with Cian about how it is slightly comforting knowing the pandemic a truly global thing. He misses travelling and photography which has been his passion since he gave up MMA, we discuss how the Dutch are sensibly going about things in a normal but safe way and how is new pet dogs name came about. I have a very light hearted chat with my old mate Pete to discuss how things are in Lanzarote, how the Spanish restriction ease up is not what you think and how he is getting through isolation with weed, TikTok and diving into conspiracies for a laugh! We touch on subjects such as the tourist trade for island resorts, people living day to day, vaccines and finish up with a giggle at the current premier league situation. A really enjoyable catch up.

From Hong Kong riots to Aussie bush fires, now this, it won't get him down though.

I chat with Eoin to have a great conversation around what its like in China, leaving in in the middle of the Hong Kong riots to move to Sydney, the bush fire welcome and how there seems to be quite a relaxed approach to social distancing, in Sydney anyway. A really enjoyable chat with an insightful fella, enjoy.

A Yorkshire man missing sport, but the decks are back out!

We discuss the rebirth of DJ Shanks, missing sport but doing a daily sporting challenge to get through and his sons Vlog. He is clearly missing travelling but Dave knows there will be big opportunities the other side, realizes a lot of people have the time to put into finding them right now, and urges folk to do it.

Baby due today, dance school to run and baking to be done, easy peasy.

I sit down with Eilis on her baby’s due date to have a very positive chat about pregnancy check-ups during this time, how pastry chefs are keeping busy and how she has adapting to running a virtual dance school. She has always had many plates to spin, but nature has forced her to slow down, and she seems to be at peace with that. Really enjoyed this chat with Eilis, it was the first episode recorded in the evening and it certainly has a relaxed vibe.

Rory and I discuss him having to go for his first ever interview, how it currently feels like a time freeze, Facebook Live gigs and his son stealing the show. We also touch on conspiracy theories and tips on dealing with the anxiety, which may come in handy in this time of the isolation. Also shout out to his sister in law Nicola who is front line with the NHS at present.

His Mrs is due any minute, but will he be allowed in for the birth?

I sit down with my good friend Steve to see how he is getting on during COVID19 isolation. His partner Aisling is due their first child on the day of recording, we chat about if he will be able to be there for the birth and how he can explain to the child in 20 years that they were born in this crazy time. We chat about his brother, a Garda on the front-line and for the first time on this pod, we briefly discuss sport and what could happen next!

A really enjoyable chat with Cork native Moyno, about building site social distancing, the ease of applying for government funding, car insurance, landlords and the future of the bar trade. We get deep towards the end discussing the future, the earth giving us a lesson and shout out to the front-line heroes!

Kinch and Stevie have a light hearted chat around whats going on in Tenerife and Kildare. Steve is seeing this as early retirement and Kinch enjoys the isolation, as long as he can walk his dogs, have a listen to 2 people who are taking this all in their stride......for now.

Peter should be on the adventure of a lifetime, traveling and relocating to the other side of the world with his girlfriend, COVID19 put a stop to that but he is still seeing the funny side(or trying at least). We discuss whats next, whats now, whats good, whats fucked?
