Matt Eversmann: Black Hawk Down & Helping Veterans
I had the privilege to interview Mr. Eversmann, who was on location for what became to be known as Black Hawk Down. Mr. Eversmann was gracious with his time and his willingness to educate us about the event that took place in October of 1993. LESLIE KORN, PhD, MPH, is a traumatologist specializing in nutrition and integrative medicine for chronic physical and mental illness. She has been in private practice for over 40 years, serving over 60,000 hours of clinical care. She was a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School and a National Institutes of Health-funded research scientist. She served as a Fulbright research scholar. In 1975, she founded the Center for Traditional Medicine, a public health clinic in rural indigenous Mexico, and continues this work at the Center for World Indigenous Studies. She is national board-certified in 3 forms of bodywork, licensed in mental health, a board-certified supervisor, and a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. Rob Parker: Journalism & Sports and The Barriers Broken Down Through Writing
This week I am joined by Rob Parker from Fox Sports. Rob has the distinction of being the first African American sports columnist at the Detroit Free Press in 1993 (paper was in circulation for over 100 years at that time) and the first African American sports columnist at Newsday in NY in 1995 (which was in existence since 1940). Rob also has a vote for the Baseball Hall of Fame. Currently he is the co-host with Chris Broussard on The Odd Couple, contributes to The Herd, First Things First & Undisputed, and is the host of the Inside the Parker podcast on the Colin Cowherd Podcast Network. Rob also writes for Deadspin. Finally, Rob has written two books that you need to check out call If I’m Writing…..
