Can we that easily change our beliefs?

And do we really have free will to act as we wish, when things seem to be happening without our actually choosing them, and often, they are things that we don't even want to come into our experience?

Having free will implies we can choose the thoughts and beliefs we have, as well as our actions; but so often, we feel that others impose their will over ours.

Free will implies choice; it lets us choose what we want to do, to think, or to believe.
