These things alone should be enough of a reason for every Christian to be concerned with and knowledgeable concerning eschatology. The Third Heaven - Episode 10 - A Revelation Moment

Chapter four is the beginning of the third and final division of Revelation. In Revelation 1:19, John is instructed to write about three distinct time periods: "the things which thou hast seen," encompassed in chapter one; "the things which are," represented by the seven churches in chapters two and three; and "the things which shall be hereafter," contained in the remainder of the prophecy. Chapter four is one anointed man's attempt to express, in human terms, that which is totally inexpressible. John describes, to the best of his ability, the beauty and grandeur of Father God's abode, Paradise, the third heaven.

In this chapter, we are introduced to the throne and the One who sits upon it, the twenty-four elders and their thrones, the Holy Spirit, the crystal sea, and the four beasts/living creatures. Last and certainly not least, we are given a snapshot of the activity of heaven - the ongoing eternal worship of the Lord God Almighty.

The Seven Churches and Cities of Revelation - Episode 9 - A Revelation Moment

The Seven Churches and Cities of Revelation - Episode 9 - A Revelation Moment

Today's podcast is not the usual expository study of the churches because there are already so many sources for that. We will cover not only the churches but the cities and the atmosphere in which the churches were operating. This was quite a project to gather the information from so many sources, too numerous to list. Also, we will place our focus on the messages that Jesus gave to these churches, and how we can glean from them yet today. Also, we take a look into the depth of the letter written by John to the seven churches, considering the attributes of organization and structure, judgment and encouragement, omnipresence and omniscience that are found in Father God, as displayed through John's writing. Other nuggets found in this episode include: 1) A revelation of what Jesus Christ loves and values in His churches, as well as what He hates and condemns. 2) A clear statement from Christ regarding the consequences of disobedience and spiritual neglect; and the rewards for spiritual vigilance and faithfulness of Christ. 3) A standard by which any church or individual may judge their true spiritual state before Father God. 4) An example of the methods of Satan's attack on the church or the individual Christian.

The Rapture and Its Timing - Episode 8 - A Revelation Moment

The Rapture and Its Timing - Episode 8 - A Revelation Moment

In the last episode, I mentioned the two most questioned, scrutinized, and highly debated topics of Revelation are the Rapture and the mark of the beast. When it comes to the Rapture, not only is it debated as to whether there is really such an occurrence but for those who believe there will be a mass exodus of the bride of Christ, the debate exists as to when it will happen. It's hard to believe there is all this talk over a word that does not exist in the Bible. It's true, the word 'rapture' cannot be found in KJV, NKJV, NIV, NLT, ESV, RSV, ASV, or the NASB. It is found once in the AMP (1 Thess. 4:17) and once in the MSG (Song of Songs 6:11).  And yet, this topic is one of the key points of our faith and belief in our walk with Jesus Christ. So, come and explore what the Bible has to say about an event that is not called by name, but appears as a recurring theme from the Concealed Covenant through to the last book of the Revealed Covenant.

The Mark of the Beast - Episode 7 - A Revelation Moment

The Mark of the Beast - Episode 7 - A Revelation Moment

The two most hotly debated, scrutinized, and questioned issues of Revelation are the Rapture and the Mark of the Beast. But did you know that there are only three verses in Revelation that directly address these two topics? There are no verses that directly reference the Rapture, just symbolism that suggests it in Revelation 4:1-2. The mark of the beast appears in chapter 13 and is briefly mentioned in just three verses (16-18). It's no wonder there are so many different teachings floating around these days regarding the mark of the beast. Much is being taught, but there is just so little written about it in the Scriptures. This is why we must study God's Word to show ourselves approved before Him, one who is not ashamed, and rightly dividing the word of truth.

We are living in strange and perilous times these days. We must know where we can go to get accurate and secure information regarding the end times. Revelation 1:1 tells us that Father God has given us the prophecy contained in Revelation so we know the things which must shortly take place. When it comes to issues such as the mark of the beast, our validation must come from the Scriptures. It is, and always has been, the standard of absolute truth.

The Three Sub-Divisions of Chapter One - Episode 6 - A Revelaton Moment

The Three Sub-Divisions of Chapter One - Episode 6 - A Revelaton Moment

The epic story contained in the 66 books of the Bible concludes with the contents of Revelation. and while it is true that no other piece of Christian literature has been so widely scrutinized, questioned, and debated, it still remains one of the most important writings concerning the Christian life today. As in any excellent book, the first chapter sets the tone for the entire book, and Revelation is no exception. Just as the book of Revelation is divided into three sections, so is chapter one; The Introduction/Prologue, The Greeting/Salutation, and the Visions of the Son of Man. In this first chapter, the introduction of Jesus in His fullness is concise; the origin of this prophecy is disclosed; for whom this prophecy is intended is revealed; the timing of the contents of the prophecy foretold; the certification of its authenticity and His chosen scribe confirmed. Let there be no mistake, this last chapter of God's story is meant to be understood by all who are called by His name.

If you are looking for a study help to take you through the book of Revelation, get your copy of my new book, "Revelation: The Full Disclosure of Jesus Christ." The Recurring Themes of Revelation - Episode 5 - A Revelation Moment

The Recurring Themes of Revelation - Episode 5 - A Revelation Moment

The Bible is built on recurring themes. The reason for this is because Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in Father God, there is no variation or shadow of turning. Ecclesiastes 1:9 states, "That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, ‘See, this is new?’ It has already been in ancient times before us.” Nothing confirms the steadfastness of Father God like recurring themes. Very little has changed since the beginning of time.

Everything that is discussed in the podcasts of A Revelation Moment can be found in-depth in my new book, "Revelation: The Full Disclosure of Jesus Christ." This is a 614-page work that takes the reader verse by verse through every chapter of this end-time prophecy. In addition, there is great detail regarding each of the seven cities of Revelation, a timeline for the events of Revelation, a mention of helpful resources with their web addresses. The book has received several wonderful endorsements.  The most recent endorsement came from International Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, from Christ For All Nations. Get your copy today. The Three Divisions of Revelation - Episode 4

The Three Divisions of Revelation - Episode 4

The first chapter sets the tone for the entire book of Revelation. In verse 19, the Lord gives reference to three distinct periods of time as He instructs John to write the prophecy.  The Lord directs John to, "Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter."  The following is a quote from John Wolvoord's work entitled, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ."  He states, regarding the Futurist viewpoint of three actual time periods, "The advantage of this outline is that it deals in a natural way with the material rather than seizing on incidentals as some expositors have done or avoiding any outline at all, as is true of other expositors. It is not too much to claim that this outline is the only one which allows the book to speak for itself without artificial manipulation. It is significant that practically all other approaches to the book of Revelation yield widely differing interpretations in which there is little uniformity when one interpreter is compared to the next."

The basic concept of the Bible is that Father God has given us His Word, which is meant to be understood.  As we allow the written word of God to speak for itself, it begins to unfold and become clear with the intended message He has given.

How to Study Revelation! - Episode 3

How to Study Revelation! - Episode 3

The task of studying prophecy can be daunting, especially in the book of Revelation. Today's podcast points out the primary and secondary themes of Revelation, resources to make your study easier, and essential keys to understanding this prophecy. When it comes to actually studying this portion of the Scriptures, there are some basics that must be considered.  The Bible is an Eastern book, focused on the Middle East, and does not represent a Western ideology, customs, or values. One of the prominent secondary themes throughout Revelation is the restoration of Israel, God's chosen people, and Jerusalem, God's chosen city. Also, it is important to understand that the language and symbolism changes in chapters 6 - 18 to reflect more of the Concealed Covenant (Old Testament) types and examples with which the Jewish people would be more familiar. Information is provided concerning the five major interpretational viewpoints that are predominant in today's world, as well as a suggested means of starting your study of Revelation.

If you haven't studied the book of Revelation, get your Bible out this week and start asking the Lord to unveil the things of this prophecy to you. As you pursue the Lord in this, He will be faithful to start unlocking the things that have previously been a mystery to you.
