Jerry goes back to the archive for an interview with Luke Smallbone of the band For King & Country. The interview took place in January 2016. The band was going to be part of Winter Jam and would play Atlanta the day before the Super Bowl, which lead to a brief discussion about American football. They also talked about some of the wacky things the band had been up to and how they’ve been handling all of the attention For King & Country has garnered. And Jerry reminisces about the late New York Yankees great Whitey Ford. Murder Hornets
They're the world's largest hornets and they've been spotted in North America. Jerry talks with University of Georgia entomologist Dr. Nancy Hinkle about the Asian giant hornets, how deadly they really are and the very real risk they pose to honey bees.  If you live in Georgia and think you've spotted an Asian giant hornet (which, honestly, is very unlikely) you can email a photo to the UGA insect ID specialist, Lisa Ames at Or you can ship an actual specimen to: Lisa Ames Diagnostic Lab 210 Cowart Building 1109 Experiment St Griffin GA, 30223-1797 Dr. Hinkle suggests putting the specimens in just a spoonful of alcohol (any type), placing them in a waterproof container, then placing that inside a ziplock bag (just in case the 'waterproof' container really isn't), then boxing that up for shipment.  Include your name and contact information (cell number, email) so Ms. Ames can let you know the identity.
