I  struggled with addiction for almost 10 years. I have been in and out of jail/prison for years. I now have my Bachelor's degree in criminal program support services. 📚  I hope to use my experience in the system and my degree to help others better understand addiction and our prison system. This story is based on my own personal opinion and experiences.

Today we speak with my good friend Ro Clausen. She is married to a man who is serving 213 years in prison. Adam was sentenced under an outdated and now illegal sentencing guideline called 924C. This allowed prosecutors to stack the mandatory minimum sentence for Adam and that totaled 213 years or 2 life sentences back to back. Even though they can no longer do this to offenders, Adam is still sitting in prison over 20 years after his crime was committed. 924C is no more, but it was not made retroactive and that is why he is still in prison. Adam is now a life coach and has so much to offer the world as a free man. We also discuss the justice project. 

In this episode we talk about how difficult it has been for us to make friends outside of addiction. We also talk about gambling in the meth world and how Reece and I both experienced the crazy world of meth addiction 

In today episode we speak with JC from Wrong to Strong! He shares what it was like to work for the cartel and go to a Mexican prison. Today Reece and I talk about our worst year as a couple and how we overcame it. We discuss how difficult it was for me to overcome postpartum depression and how we both learned to communicate with each other to have a happier and healthier relationship. 

What motivates you? Is it positive encouragement or negative? That is what we discuss today as Reece and I talk about what has motivated us and what keeps us working hard. 

For this first episode, I just wanted to answer some questions in a super laid back way. I will improve as I go. I hope you all enjoy it.
