Some people over the weekend attended celebrations of the US Army's 250th birthday, others attended gatherings of people who hate Trump. Ironically, the reason why they were able to hold their anti-Trump demonstrations was because of the Army that was celebrating its birthday.

Israel continues its fight for survival, having hit many military, energy and government targets in Iran. Iran retaliated by striking mainly civilian targets inside Israel. The military operations against Iran's nuclear infrastructure are expected to go on for days, probably weeks.

Leftist extremists are rioting in LA in favor of illegal immigrants. Once again, a right-wing presidential candidate is shot. Not much is known yet about the motives, but lets be honest, Left-wing extremism and organized crime have to be the the top suspects.

Easter is actually a season, 50 days long with the first eight days dedicated to actively celebrating the miracle of the resurrection. This suggests that Easter celebration is a process, not a singular thing we do. It can begin as on that first Easter, with the faithful afraid, doubtful, devastated. Then as word begins to get out regarding the miracle of the risen Christ, confusion then hope, the finally joy at the realization of the truth. Not all of Christ’s disciples went through each of these phases at the same time. John believed and accepted right away, and Thomas… not so much. The hope is that we all get there in the end, or actually, in the beginning of our new lives.

Are there any parallels between what the Disciples of Christ underwent during the period immediately following the Last Supper? It was a period of great change and challenge for them, and each approached it in their own way and in their own time. Now, in America we are going under a period of great change and challenge, and we all will face it in our own way. There is a lot of hope for the future, based upon what we've seen in the past but better times in the grand scheme of things don't necessary mean easier times in the short-term.

The Chose: Last Supper, Pts 1-3 are in theaters now. Based on the popular TV series: The Chosen the Last Supper movie is Season 5 of that series and concerns itself entirely with the events of Holy Week, including the Passion of Christ.

Another movie, October 8 is also in theaters. It is a documentary about how rampant antisemitism around the world, especially on school campuses was exposed in the days and weeks after the horrific attacks in Israel on October 7th, 2023. I’m ashamed to say, I only found out about this movie by chance, when looking for another movie. I watched in a movie theater, alone. I really wish the movie had gotten the press it deserved.

A Wisconsin teen is charged with the murder of his parents in a bizarre plot to kill President Trump and overthrow the US government. His alleged ties to a neo-Nazi group and support for Ukraine suggest left-wing influences.

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves what exactly we are trying to avoid as a society, such as the evils of statism, the state controlling every aspect of our lives. We don't just have to fight this in America, the entire Western world has to combat the scourge of Leftism and their globalist agendas. In Italy, the conservative government there just won a battle against Leftist lawfare. Countries have a right to secure their borders and control who can cross them. Some critics of Trump have forgotten who the current president is.

On the lighter side of things... We are in the Christmas season, and we remember the reason for the season.

Then, in an apparent act of spite tantamount to theft, he allowed pieces of the border wall to be hauled off and sold, despite knowing darned well Trump means to finish his boarder wall. He incited two assassination attempts against Trump, and now those may have trigged a new fad in violence: regicide, or variants thereof.

Monday, 10/7 marks the 1-year anniversary of the barbaric attacks on Israel by Hamas. That conflict is still ongoing and has widened.

FEMA is running out of funds and has been so far inept in its response to the victims of Hurricane Helene. We're still talking about the Olympic-sized debauchery that was the Olympic opening ceremony. Aside from outrage, how should we who are Christians feel and do about it? Persecution has been a part of the Christian experience since the very beginning, and it's been a lot worse than mockery, even today.

All the sudden, the left has discovered the word "weird" and started applying it to JD Vance, Trump's running mate. Maybe before accusing anybody else of being weird, the Democrats should look at some of their own media and celebrities. We may be weird, but at least we're not sick SOB's.

Just in case you forgot that the Olympics were a corrupt, globalist organization, the opening ceremonies were enough to remind you where their values lay. One of the opening ceremony events made a mockery of the Last Supper, an event sacred and at the heart of all Christianity, and also a famous painting by Leonardo. But the scene that depicts Jesus and his disciples at the Last Supper in the painting, became depictions of a Bacchanalian feast attended what's plainly members of various LGBTQ communities in the Olympic presentation. Attempts to rationalize the performance and tolerant and inclusive are laughable. Accordingly, many Christians were outraged. The IOC has given and halfhearted apply and has memory-holed all depictions of the event online.

So much has happened since the last podcast when I covered the assassination attempt against former president Trump. Trump picked his running mate, JD Vance from Ohio. He then accepted the GOP nomination for president. Meanwhile, the head of the Secret Service has avoided taking any consequences for her failure. Finally, President Biden has dropped his bid for reelection. The Democrats will now have to decide what to do with current VP, Kamala Harris.
