Disclaimer: SPOILERS!!
Juan, Marc, and Kevin review the 2023 film, “Skinamarink”, directed by Kyle Edward Ball and starring Lucas Paul and Dali Rose Tetreault. It’s a house party…everyone’s invited!?!? Well, that’s just the beginning of their problems, because as it turns out, they are not alone. "The Super Mario Bros. Movie"
Disclaimer: SPOILERS!!
Juan, Marc, and Kevin relive their childhood as they settle in to review the 2023 movie, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, directed by Aaron Horvath, Michael Jelenic, and Pierre Leduc, and starring Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Jack Black. The beloved video game hero that captured hearts and imaginations since the 80’s is now on the silver screen (again). So far, the film has made a ton of guac, but is it any good? Does it offer anything more than nostalgia-induced elation? Do the creators of the film remain faithful to the legacy of the characters or do they alter too much to appease modern sentiments? Is the humor and the content childish or adult-oriented? Some way, somehow, this one got HEATED! YOU MUST LISTEN AND WATCH THIS ONE! As always, thank you for joining us! "Tár"
Disclaimer: SPOILERS!!
Juan, Marc, and Kevin sync up and get in tune to review the 2022 film "Tár", directed by Todd Field and starring Cate Blanchett. Lydia Tár (Blanchett) is one of the most famous classical music conductors/maestros in the world, who is also at the top of her game. She keeps a busy, jet-setting schedule and balances a lot of plates. She also has an inclination for control, domination, power, and playing people like the symphonies she so famously conducts. When some skeletons come a-knockin', will Lydia be able able to keep a-rockin' in the free world, or will her latest performance be "canceled"? This film was up for some of the biggest awards in the film industry but it was also controversial. Listen as the fellas dive in and discuss these topics in ways that might just piss someone off (cause, you know, 2023 and all).
