A fun weekly talk story session with Hawaiians and Hawaiians at heart. Like when we were kids growing up in Hawaii, friends and family gathered on the porch to eat, talk story and play music.

This is a virtual "On the Porch" gathering to do just that. It's just a bunch of friends who love the islands talking story....

What started as a weekly means to keep connected to each other during the pandemic almost 3 years ago has resulted in a fun virtual gathering each week to "catch up" with each other. It's unscripted and a free flowing dialogue that results in a virtual hug of aloha each time!

it started during the pandemic lock down as a way to keep in touch with friends in the community. Three years later we still gather virtually to talk story, laugh and share the aloha. It's the longest running virtual gathering of Hawaiians and Hawaiians at heart in Southern California!

Each week a virtual gathering of Hawaiians and Hawaiians at heart drop in "On the Porch" to talk story, laugh, and share the aloha. It's conversation and stories ...and much more....all happening "On the Porch".

This group has been together through the pandemic and actually together longer than "most Hollywood marriages" according to "On the Porch" regular Aunty Bling Bling!

This is a silly, nonsensical, comedic romp of a show with absolutely no social redeeming qualities. It's a comic relief, local style with hosts Kamaka Brown and Andy Trask sharing the laffs on the "Nite Patrol".

What can we say about actor Clyde Kusatsu?

He has made guest appearances on both Hawaii Five-O (1968) and Hawaii Five-0 (2010).Has played a judge in 14 different productions, from a judge in L.A. Law (1986) in 1987 to Judge Matsumura in Boston Legal (2004) in 2006.

He has been in over 200 projects, including extensive cartoon voice-over work, and starred as "Admiral Nakamura" on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). Has played a medical doctor in at least 24 different movies and TV shows. Attended Iolani School in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Duke Ching is a steel guitar playerʻs steel guitar player.  Heʻs well respected in the Hawaiian community and shares many stories about growing up in Hawaiʻi.

Any one who has a connection to the islands will know the name Andy Bumatai. For decades he has entertained audiences on both sides of the Pacific with his special brand of humor.

 He is an actor, television host, producer and Hawaiiʻs first stand up comic.  He agreed to drop in on the "Aloha Friday with...." video podcast to talk road stories, living in Hawaii and to share the aloha.

"Aloha Happens!" host Kamaka Brown shares the story of Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Greg Sardinha, a  Hawaiian steel guitar artist living in Hawai'i. 

Hawaii born and raised, Greg Sardinha, is a talented and veteran steel guitar player.  He has played many genre's of music but his passion is sharing the music of  the Hawaiian Steel Guitar.  Greg, has won the 2018 Na Hoku Hanohano Instrumental Album, with his collaboration with Jeff Peterson and Tsun-Hui Hung, as well as, the 2014 Na Hoku Hanohano award for Instrumental Album of the Year for his solo release "Stainless."

The construction of a Thirty Millimeter Telescope has captured the attention of the world as groups of Native Hawaiians have gathered to protect the mountain. Their position is that the mountain is culturally and religiously sacred and that no more construction should occur. The Hawaii state government has positioned itself firmly on the side of the construction leading to conflict and confrontation with the Protectors.

While this issue has many proponents for and against the construction, Sandwich Islands Network has been tracking this since 2015 with interviews of individuals close to the what is taking place.

We offer an encore broadcast of these interviews which we think provide a basis for what is happening now in 2019 on Hawaii island at Mauna Kea.

SIN Krew host and comic KAMAKA BROWN shares a "hana hou" session remembering an entertainer extraordinaire who passed in July of 2013.  Poncie Ponce touched so many lives and hearts in his many years of entertaining crowds all over the world.  

He was cast on Hawaii's first network detective show "Hawaiian Eye" from 1959-1963 as side kick Kazuo Kim, the ukulele playing taxi cab driver. He parlayed his TV exposure to hanging with the Las Vegas "rat pack", a movie with Elvis and using his considerable musical talents in nightclub shows around the world and more.

We capture a classic interview with Poncie shortly before his death on our podcast and hear some of his music.
