Money and Financial Skills in Our 20s
Are financial skills - saving, budgeting, investing - something parents are supposed to teach us? Or something we all have to learn on our own as we stumble into the world of adulthood?
In this episode, I have one of my best friends Emi joining me. She spends too much money on McDonald's but still somehow had her financial boat floating because she invests in company stocks (but she also doesn't know how to read stock exchange charts...)
Join us, two people in our 20s having no idea what we are doing exactly but still trying, as we share our financial woes, budgeting techniques, how we save, and how we have a love-hate relationship with money.
"Your relationship with money is just you learning about yourself and what is best for you." - Emi Gurung
I love that. Learning how to handle our money is another way to learn about ourselves.

The Epidemic of Domestic Violence in the Pakistani Community
Domestic violence is rife in the Pakistani community. I've witnessed it and heard about it. I have family members and friends who have been affected by it. I refuse to let it fester in our community any longer. It is time to have an open conversation about it.
Join me as I tackle this topic from a Pakistani-Muslim point of view, by focusing on misogynistic marriage practices, and the infamous sura 4, verse 34 from the Quran that is often used as justification for domestic violence.

Racism in Hong Kong with Komal and Zulakha
This is one of the most important episodes of the podcast for me so far. I have had many formative experiences dealing with racism almost all my life in Hong Kong, some positive, many negative. It is a personal and vulnerable episode.
My friends Komal and Zulakha very generously offered their voices, experiences, and thoughts on this topic for this episode. We shared a lot with each other in this episode about what we face, how we feel and what we've been through. I think we might have forgotten that we were live and recording a podcast and this all turned into just 3 friends sharing their hearts and minds. It takes an open heart and a mature outlook to be this vulnerable on air about some of the most personal experiences. I cannot thank Komal and Zulakha more for this.
I hope you take something of value from this episode. And if there are your own experiences and thoughts with/on racism that you would like to share, please feel free to share them in the comments or send a message through on the podcast's social media DMs.
Thank you very much for listening!

Make-Up, Beauty Industry and Self-Esteem with Sandy and Puja
In the 2nd episode of the podcast, I'm joined by two of my best friends Sandy and Puja and we talk about how wearing make-up affects how we see ourselves, the beauty industry's toxicity and how we can build our self-esteem outside of our physical appearance.
I hope you enjoy our conversation!

Youtube Dramas, Advertising and Influence with Komal Ashfaq
In this first episode of the Woman, Asian & Bloody Immigrant, I have invited my good friend Komal to talk about YouTube and the current YouTuber drama chaos it finds itself in every other week.
We talk about YouTube's golden days when OG YouTubers created the best content there was, how YouTubers like James Charles and Logan Paul, and the advertising business has corrupted the simple idea of uploading your video creations on a free platform, and how young kids and teenagers are consuming the most outrageous content that even we adults sometimes can't quite comprehend.
I hope you enjoy our conversation!
