Episode#13: Straight Talk on Covid-19

Episode#13: Straight Talk on Covid-19

Hello listeners. Welcome to another episode in our show. Today, we will be focusing on a much serious topic related to pandemic. ER doctors are doctors that respond to any number of illnesses or injuries. These honorable doctors have an important role in stabilizing and treating patients before determining the next steps based on the health assessment.

Our next special guest is Dr. Vikash Mishra, an ER Doctor that plays an integral role each day in treating patients. Today, Dr. Vikash Mishra is here to give us the straight talk on today’s pandemic and how we can take precautionary health measures related to Covid.

Let’s welcome Dr. Vikash Mishra.  Flu season is upon and us and with it, we still have the pandemic scare. Listen in to 'Straight Talk on Covid' and how we can take healthy measures to better prepare ourselves with Covid in the Flu Season.

It's my pleasure to have a heart-to-heart conversation with Dr. Vikash Mishra @vdmdlv @realtalkdoctalk.

Some of the topics we will cover are:

1. Can you clear the air on how covid is contracted? Is it through the mouth, eyes, inhaled, sharing the same bathrooms, surfaces, and so on?

2. There is a lot of buzz around asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic COVID-19- what is the difference and in your thoughts are the precautionary steps the same between the two?

3. If there is a family gathering, there is a couple who were covid positive then quarantined for 14days and retested as being negative and happen to go family Thanksgiving event, can they pass covid to other members? Should the folks who had covid- should they avoid such gatherings for the safety of others?

4. What are some of the symptoms to prompt a Covid test?

5. There’s always some discussion around the age group. Is there any spectrum of the population more vulnerable to acquiring covid such as certain age groups, health conditions, gender, or ethnicity?

6. What’s your opinion on what masks are safer than others. Now that there are so many mask options out there. Are there some masks that help such as those cute designer masks vs n95 original masks? What precautionary measures to keep us safe? Do you mind providing protocols on Covid safety?

7. Are there any preventive measures that one can take besides distancing and using face masks from contracting covid such as zinc, vitamin d, c, and turmeric along with nutrient-dense foods? In cases where someone has been taking preventive products and happen to contract covid, are these people more likely to recover rapidly compared to others?

8. Given we are approaching the flu season, some of the symptoms are quite similar affecting our sinus, nose and throat, lungs. It can become really confusing for non-health professionals to decipher between the two. Are there any steps our audience can take to isolate the differences? What are your recommendations on keeping healthy; what if we have taken the flu vaccine to reduce our risk- should we assume we don’t have the flu if we have a fever, chills, dizziness, etc.? Does taking the flu vaccine to reduce the chance of acquiring covid? What are your thoughts on if any, groups that should or shouldn’t take the flu vaccine?

9. What are some other points we should look into that you think are important which will help our audience to be better prepared for this pandemic?

Ep#8: Loving Yourself Through Failure

Ep#8: Loving Yourself Through Failure

Welcome to Living To Love Yourself Podcast.

Today’s episode touches on Loving Yourself Through Failure EP#8:

When we fear failure, it tends to be deep rooted and there’s this urge of escaping from facing failure.  We don’t essentially see failure as a sign of improvement.  Could this be related to some type of trauma that we may have experienced in the past?  If so, do you mind going over what trauma is and how it affects our psyche? We will discuss the following in Loving Yourself Through Failure Ep#8:

1. Emotional Trauma affects everybody

2. Self-love is not selfish

3. Forgiveness is essential

Dr. Ronja Vieth, from EnglobeMe - Bliss-Life Coaching. Trained in academia and as an energy healer and Akashic Field Therapist, she uses her experience to empower women to become the best version of themselves. As an empath, highly sensitive person, and an intuitive, she has realized these characteristics are superpowers, not weaknesses. She is helping others see that as well. Shegrew up with a narcissistic mother, whose energetic imprint then called further narcissistic relationships into herlife. As a healer, I have learned that you have to heal emotional trauma, because thinking yourself out of pain does not work. Another challenge on her spiritual path has been forgiveness, not so much of others, but of herself. Once you take responsibility for your life's creation of reality, you hit a hole of "why the heck did I materialize THAT for myself?!" Forgiveness is a way to learn and master self-love. A lesson one might never stop learning and something she has used for another course to help others. Life Transformation & Mindset Coach and founder of The Trusted Journey. She uses a holistic approach to coaching and empowers women to move on and heal from domestic violence, narcissistic abuse & toxic relationships.

Ep#3: Life With Myasthenia Gravis

Ep#3: Life With Myasthenia Gravis

Greg Josephs is 58, has 30 years of wedded bliss (with wife Maria), three adult kids and just adopted a Beagle from a rescue who found him hiking down a dirt road in the South. About 18 years ago, he began slurring like a drunkard.  After a bevy of doctors, who were largely perplexed, he was diagnosed  with a rare neuromuscular disease called Myasthenia Gravis.  This is his story.

MYSTHANIA GRAVIS is a rare, autoimmune, neuromuscular junction disorder that causes weakness in the skeletal muscles, which are the muscles your body uses for movement. It occurs when communication between nerve cells and muscles becomes impaired.  This disease affects 200,000 people per year.

Key take-aways from Greg, a holistic mind symbolizes the mind-body connection, which is key to overcoming obstacles. Do not take yourself too seriously.  Never give up.  A permanent support group is needed for anyone.  Mine is my family, but when I drive them nuts, Ive got others. Ghandhi said it best:  The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.  Help others, even if you think you have nothing to give.

Ep#2: Parenting Teen

Ep#2: Parenting Teen

Parenting teens is never easy, it's harder now than ever thanks to covid and race revolution. All parents

could use a bit of support that meets them where they are, as they are, without judgement, and without financial stress.

Every parent does the best with what they have, unfortunately very few have ever spoken directly to a

parenting expert, fewer have spoken to a parenting expert who has a background working outpatient

AND in-home. They have nothing to lose, a ton to gain.

Mr. Fox From Calm Fox Coaching gives us insight on common unspoken parenting challenges, prioritizing & modeling daily mental health, understanding & communicating with your teen, parent resiliency, consistency, & support along with positive reinforcement & natural consequences.
