Leadership Lessons from an Insurrection
The events from the January 6th 2021 shook our nation to its core. Since then I, like many of us have had to stop and think about "leadership" and its influence on our nation and the world. My thoughts are not directed to a political party, platform or person...but the influence we as leaders can have on people in our personal and professional lives and how we can focus our efforts on the positive aspects of leadership and its influences. Sure, this is a tough topic, but one I feel needs to take place.... I hope you find it informative and helpful.

We Can’t Lead Others Till We Can Lead Ourselves.... Dealing with Post Traumatic Stress
Two Guys Talking Leadership
Don't be afraid of the hard stuff!
This week we talk about addressing how to talk about "tough conversations" regarding issues and relationships and how to contribute to the solution more than being a part of the problem. I will fill you in on feedback I received regarding the NFL's response to race relations and how I turned that into a list of suggestions on how we can work better together... I believe the lessons learn apply not just to issues involving race, but to any difficult topic you will deal with.
My 9-11 Experience
As we recognize the 19th anniversary of the tragic events of 9-11 I'd like to share my experience... Granted, like everyone else, I'm sure you remember where you were and what you were doing on 9-11 when you found out about the first plane hitting the North Tower of the World Trade Center. For me, my family and I were stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base, in the beautiful rolling hills of Southwestern Germany serving at our "dream assignment" with some of the best and brightest military warriors and their families I've ever met. On a day that started like many others...turned into one that would forever reshape our lives. I will share my brief account of events on that day along with some of the lessons I was able to learn from the experience.....
Effort Matters!
This week we address the value and importance of "Effort" in all we do. What credit do you as a leader give to "effort" when looking for that new team member... Where in your "Leadership Values" does effort play a role? We will talk about 4 people from different areas of society that used "effort" to their advantage to either grow and develop or in a few cases "recover" from significant challenges in their lives to achieve new heights. Hope you enjoy the episode and as always would love to get your feedback! LEAD ON!

Always look for the Good!
This week we look at the importance for us as leaders to "Look for the Good!" We have so many negative elements in the world right now it's more important than ever to be that positive force in the lives of our families and those we lead both in our personal and professional lives. I've also added a "Final Thoughts" section where I address the appointment of our new Air Force Chief of Staff and Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force and the historic significance of that event! Hope you enjoy (and share) and would love to hear your feedback!
When getting "fired" can be a good thing!
This week I will tell a story of when I was "fired" from a job....for all the right reasons and the great things that came from it! Please be safe and happy out there and thanks for tuning in!!!!
