The Black Dad Project

This solo episode deals with the priority Jesus takes in our Christian lives and how that priority should affect the way that students and parents treat involvement in sports. What does it look like to place God first in everything, even when it costs us?

In this episode I talk with one of my closest childhood friends, Carlows Brown, to discuss his experience as a teenage parent and the lessons that he and his wife Casey have learned along the way.

This episode is a VERY brief interview I did with our oldest son, Eli. Hopefully it gives a small glimpse of his personality! There's an appearance from Titus and Leah as well! (FYI -- No babies were harmed in the making of this episode.)

Jeff is a husband and father who is seeking to serve the Lord. In this episode, we discuss circumstances that the last year and a half have brought on his family and the fight to be eternally-minded in the midst of a trying season.

This is the first in a series of project updates. As the project morphs, I want to keep you guys in the loop, and this will be the format I use to do that.

I grew up in what would statistically be a “single parent home.” In this episode, I seek to take a deeper dive behind the statistic by introducing you to my own father in order to give a tangible example of why statistics don’t always tell the whole story.
