#1 SECRET YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIPS

#1 SECRET YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIPS

For families and athletes navigating the recruiting proves can be stressful, exhausting, and confusing. The key is to look at the recruiting process from a coaches perspective.   They are 2 main players in the recruiting process Sellers(athletes/parents/scouts) and Buyers(College Coaches/Recruiters).  In order to win at the recruitment game you must understand 1 key ingredient and that is VALUE. Yes VALUE you must know who you are selling yourself to. The way you can stand out is matching yourself colleges that are looking for the VALUE you bring to the table. For example if you are a great 3pt shooter a team that struggles from behind the arc will consider you a lot more valuable than a team full of 3pt shooters.  What VALUE do you bring? Is it size ,strength, speed, shooting, defense, rebounding, passing, dribbling. First you must assess yourself know your strengths and weaknesses and see how you compare to other players in the marketplace.   The goal of recruiting should be to find the right fit for yourself and that athletically, academically, and socially. Of course everyone wants to play big time basketball 🏀 but that takes big time skills. You must be elite at a particular skill you don’t have to be the best basketball player but you have to have an elite skill. Also you must meet the requirements academically and have a certain level of maturity.   The bigger the stage the more pressure to succeed. There’s millions of dollars being invested. Receiving a basketball scholarship is reward for a huge sacrifice from athletes and there families. There needs to be thousand of thousands of hours invested in order to achieve a scholarship. It’s no different from deciding to be a doctor or a lawyer there has to be a high level of focus and discipline and more importantly KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.   You don’t want to miss out on your dreams because of a lack of knowledge.  You don’t want to be one of thousand that miss out on their opportunity....... https://www.dreamscoutingnetwork.com/...

THE TRUTH ABOUT DIVISION 2 BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIPS

THE TRUTH ABOUT DIVISION 2 BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIPS

Ncaa Division Ii NCAA Division II is made up of smaller public universities and private colleges. There are 290 mens programs, and 291 women’s programs, in Division II basketball. Each member college and university in Division II is restricted to 10 full ride scholarships for their men’s program, and 10 full ride scholarships for their women’s program. Unlike Division I schools, coaches at Division II schools may divide their allotted full tuition scholarships into partial tuition awards as a way of attracting more players to their campus. For example, a Division II coach may recruit 20 players for a school’s women’s basketball team, dividing the ten available scholarships between them.

How many scholarships are available for men’s D1 basketball?

* Division 1 men’s basketball scholarships per team: 13

 * Total # of men’s basketball teams: 353

* Avg. team size: 16

NCAA Division 1 scholarships are hard to come by. Less than one percent of high school athletes will compete at this level. Each Division 1 men’s basketball program can award 13 full athletic scholarships. These scholarships, called headcount scholarships, cover all college costs, including tuition, housing, books, etc. After the 13 scholarships have been handed out, additional athletes can walk on to the team, but aren’t eligible for athletic aid.

7 STEPS TO A GUARANTEED BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP

7 STEPS TO A GUARANTEED BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP

1. Compete at the highest level possible:College coaches want to see you compete against other recruits. Whether its your high school team or AAU playing against other high level players is a sure fire way to increase your value in the recruiting market.

2. Compete in the summer during live periods: This is extremely important because of scheduling. College coaches have their own seasons to worry about but in the summer they have more time dedicated to scout talent. Also because of AAU circuits they get to see you play against other talent they wouldn’t get to see during the school year.

3. Attend elite camps: In addition to tournaments college coaches also evaluate recruits at elite camps. Most of the elite camps are invite only which allows coaches to get a closer look on the players they like. Make sure to attend camps that are at the top of your target list.

4. Excel academically Grade are very important to college coaches not only does it allow them to recruit you because they know you can get in their school but it also speaks to your character.Coaches want players that they can depend on both on and off the court.

5. Create a highlight film Highlight films are a great first impression they have to be made in a way to engage a coach to look further into them. Remember first impressions go along way.

6. Be proactive Despite what families may think, coaches don’t simply discover recruits. Unless they’re one of the very best players in the country, recruits need to do some work to get noticed by college coaches. This is especially important in basketball where student-athletes are still allowed to talk to coaches via phone when they’re the ones initiating the contact.

7. Know your best college fit Lastly, don’t forget to visit the college roster for every team on your target list. The last thing families want to do is waste their time emailing coaches at schools that aren’t a good fit.

MAMBA MENTALITY: HOW TO BUILD MENTAL TOUGHNESS FOR BASKETBALL

MAMBA MENTALITY: HOW TO BUILD MENTAL TOUGHNESS FOR BASKETBALL

4 TYPES OF BASKETBALL PLAYERS

Over the years of coaching and training thousands of basketball players i have come to the conclusion that there are 4 types of basketball players.

  1. Talented players who are Ambitious to learn how to improve their basketball skills.
  2. Non-talented players who are ambitious to learn how to improve their basketball skills.
  3. Talented players who have no ambition to learn how to improve basketball skills
  4. Non talented players who have no ambition to learn how to improve their basketball skills

ou must understand that being born with talent is something that is not in your control but having the ambition to learn and desire to improve your basketball skills is something that you have total power to influence. Why do i make this point? Because many basketball players that  I speak with in the daily basis get caught up in the idea that talent automatically equals success on the basketball court. They feel that talent is the answer to all their problems. That because they have talent it will make things easy. Let me tell you something talent alone won't guarantee you a scholarship. Although talent does predispose some basketball players to be more skillful and helps them pick things up faster.

#1 REASON WHY NBA PLAYERS USE SUPPLEMENTS

#1 REASON WHY NBA PLAYERS USE SUPPLEMENTS

Supplements Supplements play a big role in sports today, as there are times when a player cannot get the necessary nutrition through food alone. It is a big industry and there are hundreds of products out there that can be used to supplement nutrition.   While we will not prescribe any particular supplement, we will note that they are just that, “SUPPLEMENTS,” and not meant to stand alone as nutrition. Players can take in more protein through a protein drink or make sure all vitamins and minerals are covered through taking them in supplement form but, again, this is to supplement what they are getting in their meals and snacks.   All players should use supplements only to compliment their solid daily nutrition. If used properly, they can be very effective, especially considering there are times when players cannot get exactly what they need to eat. As we know, not all players have the luxury that some of the NBA pros do in having a chef to prepare the perfect meals for them. Parents are busy and schedules are tight, in these cases, supplements can be very helpful for players to make sure they are getting all that they need.

WHAT TO EAT ON GAME DAY

WHAT TO EAT ON GAME DAY

Eating Out
Some of the toughest nutrition decisions are made when eating away from your comfort zone. Eating nutritiously at restaurants, especially fast food establishments can be challenging but there are almost always good choices available. Being prepared and remembering your goals can often help identify what options are best in many different situations.

Optimal nutrition leads to optimal health which leads to optimal performance.
When arriving at a restaurant,
* think about what meal or snack this is for you?
* when the last time was that you ate?
* what did you last eat, and when/what will likely be your next meal?

Don’t be afraid or shy, asking for special requests and adjustments will be necessary in order to nutritiously transform some meals. Consuming a protein shake or nutrition bar prior to going out for a meal is a great way to reduce your appetite and therefore reduce the temptation to overeat or make problematic decisions.

Game Day Eating
While a player’s nutrition should be solid and well thought-out every day, eating on game-days has an elevated importance to perform at a high level. Coaches and players are always looking for a perfect “pre-game meal” to maximize performance. Theories like “carb-loading” have been used to try to improve energy levels and overall performance. When I was in college we always had a pre-game meal 4 hours prior to tip-off and ate the same selection of foods every time, however, we don’t believe there is any ONE way to eat and especially a ONE “magic” pre-game meal.

What players need to realize is that their nutrition the day before a game, the entire day of the game, and the meals after the game will determine their overall performance. It is a battle to get the body 100% prepared for a max effort by balancing the micronutrients, vitamins and minerals, electrolytes, and all other pieces of nutrition. We are trying to produce a well-oiled machine in every player and there is no quick fix.

Meals must be chosen to provide the essential levels of all components of nutrition. Carbohydrate intake must be sufficient to provide energy but all other pieces must also be in place to create a balance and allow the body to work efficiently. For example, if a player eats perfectly on game day but does not drink enough water, the effects of the nutrients will be negated by dehydration. Glycemic index also plays a role with carbohydrate intake. If a player eats 3 hours before a game, he must make sure to eat low-glycemic index carbs so the energy will be released slowly. So really, the basic principles we have been discussing apply to game day as well.

As coaches and trainers, we must educate our players on the importance of good nutrition at all times but especially in the days and hours leading up to games and major workouts. We cannot expect them to perform at the level we need them to without their bodies full of energy and ready to go.

IMPORTANCE OF HYDRATION

IMPORTANCE OF HYDRATION

Hydration Dehydration is a major concern for most athletes and if we as coaches and trainers are expecting the best from our players, we need to make sure they understand what dehydration is and how it affects performance. In general, most people live their lives in a dehydrated state, from slight levels to severe. Drinking water and making sure players stay hydrated is not an easy thing to do. Players come to practice and to training sessions during the course of a busy day - a day in which they probably did not drink enough.

Key Points of Hydration / Dehydration: There are many causes of dehydration including, but not limited to: exercise, altitude, low humidity environments, heat exposure and illness

There are three, generally accepted stages of dehydration: * Mild: loss of 1-5% of body weight * Moderate: loss of 6-9% of body weight * Severe: loss of 10% or more of body weight  Studies suggest that as little as a 2% decline in hydration can result in up to a 10% reduction in athletic performance

Signs and Symptoms of Dehydration: * Dizziness, confusion, lightheaded * Dry lips, mouth and skin * Physical and metal fatigue * Decrease pace and performance * Darkened urine (one of first indicators because the kidneys are very sensitive and they will let you know!) * Increased body temperature, HR and RPE * Low blood pressure and/or weak pulse * Temperature drop (especially the extremities) * Dry eyes * Confusion or Disorientation

IMPORTANCE OF CARBS FOR BASKETBALL PLAYERS

IMPORTANCE OF CARBS FOR BASKETBALL PLAYERS

free-basketball-drills.bornwinnerbasketball.com

Carbohydrates Carbohydrates are the main source of energy during training. The body turns to carbs to find the initial energy when the player starts to train or play. Anyone who has ever been training or playing in a game and suddenly felt light-headed and without energy has experienced what is known as a “bonk” in endurance sports. Basically, the body is looking for energy rom carbohydrates and there are none available. This could be a result of lack of carbohydrate consumption in the hours or days prior to the workout. Or, in many cases, can be and effect of the body not being balanced with nutrients that will allow the carbohydrates to be accessed efficiently.  Carbohydrates are fuel for the muscles  The simplest way to tell your players how important carbohydrates are to their performance is to let them know that they are the “fuel” for your movement and muscle activity. Without them, they cannot run, jump, or play at a high level. What we must do as coaches and trainers is educate the players that food is not just food, but it is FUEL for the body. If they want to be good and but it is FUEL for the body. If they want to be good and excel, they need to eat right; sufficient carbohydrates is a big part of this process. Carbohydrates provide fuel for brain As we discussed, we all have experienced the “light-headed” feeling at some point during our training or games. Carbohydrates provides the fuel for the brain to function at its best so players will think clearer, act quicker, and just be all-around sharper if they have eaten enough carbohydrates. Things to consider with Carbohydrates: Carbohydrate intake should be elevated during the period and especially in the days and hours before workouts. These carbohydrates should be viewed as fuel for the working muscles and the athlete should be constantly concerned with making sure energy (stored muscle glycogen) is full prior to workouts and games as well as properly replaced after the workout or game. It is important to continually keep muscle glycogen levels high to avoid the burning of glycogen, which will lead to a lack of energy and decreased performance. As effort levels reach and exceed 85% (which is most likely the case during workouts), less fat is utilized for fuel.Carbohydrate intake should be approximately 4 to 4.5 grams per pound of body weight. Type of carbohydrate (glycemic index) depends on when the athlete is eating prior to an event as well as how long the workout or game will last. For example, food eaten 30 minutes prior to a 1-hour workout could have a higher concentration of simple sugars that provide a large amount of energy very quickly since they are broken down by the digestion system quickly to enter the bloodstream as energy and food eaten 2 1⁄2 hours before a 2-hour training session could have a higher concentration of complex carbohydrates, which will provide lasting energy at a slower rate.  Look for foods that have not been processed a great amount like 100% whole wheat breads, multigrain breads, 100% whole grain breads and cereals, bulgur wheat, oatmeal, whole grain corn, or whole oats. Cereals made from whole grain flour are also good. Sugar cereals contain processed grain as well as a lot of refined sugars. Carbohydrates should be a part of every meal and the type of carbs should depend on when they are eaten. On days where you have long practices or even 2 practices, it is critical to get enough carbs to keep the muscle glycogen storage as full as possible before and immediately after the sessions. Carbohydrates are critical 30 to 60 minutes following a game or intense training session. Utilizing this “glycogen window” can be the difference between recovering in 24 hours or waiting a full 72 for the glycogen stores to be back up to capacity.

IS FAT GOOD FOR A BASKETBALL PLAYER?

IS FAT GOOD FOR A BASKETBALL PLAYER?

Fat Fat is a critical part of the diet for every player. While things like fried foods, oils, and cheeses contain a large amount of fat and can be harmful to an athlete, fat also serves very important roles for the body and is a necessary part of the diet. There are good fat choices and poor ones, which we will detail in the macronutrient handout…  In most cases with the players we train, both NBA guys and youth players, the amount of fat in their diets is too high and from the wrong sources; deep fried french fries or buffalo wings, and other fried food, should not be a main part of anyone’s diet, let alone a player aspiring to be great.  Key Functions of Fat: * Fat can be burned as very efficient energy if carbohydrate energy is being burned simultaneously; increased fitness levels will allow the body to burn fat more efficiently as energy * Transport essential vitamins and minerals * Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats in nuts, avocados, olive oil, and fish are beneficial to energy burning and overall health * Fat should be limited in meals prior to a high-intensity workout or training session   Vitamins and Minerals Vitamins and minerals help the body to work properly in a variety of ways. While we cannot provide a complete course on the uses of each vitamin and mineral, we can provide all of our players with the best information to make their bodies run at top efficiently.  A few top resources to refer to are WebMD and the USDA:  URL(“http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/vit...mineral-sources”)  URL(“http://fnic.nal.usda.gov/food-composi...and-minerals”)

7 THINGS BASKETBALL PLAYERS MUST KNOW ABOUT PROTEIN

7 THINGS BASKETBALL PLAYERS MUST KNOW ABOUT PROTEIN

Macronutrients These are the main components of nutrition and must be understood to create an effective nutritional approach for your players or team. The careful balance of these 3 macronutrients will allow the athlete to preform at a high energy level and also control body composition. These 3 pieces of nutrition are the foundation of any player’s daily intake. If you can get your players to understand the importance and the function of these 3 nutrients, they can manage their nutrition successfully.Protein

Protein is essential in the following ways: 1. Builds, maintains, and restores muscle tissues.

2. Creating enzymes, hormones, lipoproteins, muscle  tissue, connective tissue, red blood cells and immune system cells

3. Increasing the body’s ability to use fat as energy, helps body deliver oxygen to the working muscles

4. Increases strength of muscle contractions, increases strength, speed, explosiveness, etc.

5. Can account for 10 – 15% of energy during exercise

6. Allows body to break down nutrients to usable energy

 7. Athletes should take in approximately .9 to 1.0 grams of protein per pound of body weight during this period

6 REASONS NUTRITION CAN MAKE YOU A BETTER BASKETBALL PLAYER

6 REASONS NUTRITION CAN MAKE YOU A BETTER BASKETBALL PLAYER

Why is nutrition important for a basketball player?  As coaches and trainers, we are not expected to be nutritionist, nor should we be, but, the knowledge we can pass along to our players on the main points of nutrition can help them tremendously to be better players in every way. If we can get our players to be educated and aware that what they eat is the driving force behind their performance, we would be giving them a huge advantage over their competitors. Not unlike a car, their bodies must have fuel to perform at a high level each day. We tell our players all the time that all the drilling, lifting, speed work, and any other piece of work they do to improve their game, can be negated by poor nutrition. It is the GLUE that holds the rest of the training program together and the base for become a great player.  NUTRITION - WHY EAT RIGHT?  The main goal is to regulate the body’s energy levels by locking down what to eat (carbs, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, etc.) and exactly when to eat it. By doing this, the following will be accomplished:   1. Players will enter into workout sessions and events with the body’s energy at a maximum level as well as creating a clean, efficient path for the conversion of this energy to high-level athletic performance. 2. Players will recover quicker from high-intensity workouts  3. Players will consume enough fuel on high-intensity days and periods, as well as not consume too many calories on rest/recovery days or off days. 4. Players will become aware of energy levels and recovery based on what he or she is eating daily; this increased awareness will lead to stronger focus and ultimately better development and performance. 5. Players will avoid multiple “bad days” caused by fatigue and lack of body awareness 6. Players will be able to control overall weight and body composition at all times

BORNWINNER BASKETBALL HOW TO GET OUT A SHOOTING SLUMP?

Bornwinner basketball shooting tips: How to get out a shooting slump?  Shooting slumps are something all players encounter and have to deal with every season. They can be confusing, break your confidence and, at times, may seem never ending. I will give you some things NOT to do to get you out of your slump. First, don’t over-analyze. Shooting is largely mental and you don’t want to put yourself into “analysis – paralysis.” That is when you examine yourself so closely that you that you do more damage to your yourself and can’t perform the skill you are trying to examine. Next, everyone will have ideas of what to do. Don’t listen to them. Everyone sees things differently. As well meaning as they might be, you will get different ideas from everyone and their suggestions will only confuse you more. Don’t start chasing or creating shots that aren’t there or attempt to do things you are not good at and above all, don’t doubt yourself. Stick to your age plan your routine is what is going to carry you through rough times. That’s why I cant stress the fact fact enough about staying committed and consistent because it will carry your confidence through hard times. Ive seen far too many players put themselves in a shooting slump because they overreacted over one bas shooting performance.

HOW TO MAKE ANY BASKETBALL TEAM

HOW TO MAKE ANY BASKETBALL TEAM

Bornwinner Basketball Tryout Tips: How To Make Any Basketball Team

After countless conversations with parents and players. I have come to the conclusion. Most athletes that don’t make their team. Don’t even know why they didn’t make the team. Or they don’t even know how to make a basketball team.
Most players think if they shoot every time they get the ball. Then they will increase their chances of making the team. This is probably the reason you got cut. It had nothing to do with your Talent or ability. But had everything
Yes their are certain key points that you must position yourself in. In order to standout amongst the other players.
So how do you stand out ❓

5 Tips to guarantee you make the basketball team
1. PREPARE IN THE OFF SEASON :I have watched to many players wait until a few week before tryouts to start training to make the the team. This really me your not serious. Honestly you don’t deserve to be on the team.

2. ASK COACH WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR. If the coach needs rebounding. Go after every rebound. If he needs defense. Play hard unstoppable defense.

3. BE VOCAL. Not in a negative way. Be a coach on the court. Repeat the things that the coach praises people for. You must live what you talk.

4. UNDERSTAND YOUR GAME tryouts is not the time to try new things. Stick to your strengths. But hide your weaknesses. First make the team then your role will progressively get bigger.

5. DO THE DIRTY WORK Take charges. Dive for loose balls. Set screens. Guard the best player full court. Show the coaching staff that you come to WORK.
If you do these things coaches will be begging you to be On their team. The only way to make a basketball team is to add VALUE. If you prepare yourself you will but yourself in position to succeed. Many player will wait until it’s to too late. Don’t set yourself up for disappointment.
Basketball is a CAREER choice. You get OUT what you put IN. You can’t cheat the game. If you stay honest and true to the game it will treat you like the start you are. But it will take BLOOD. SWEAT. And TEARS..

Bornwinner Basketball: How do I choose the right basketball trainer near me❓

Choosing a basketball trainer for your child should not be taken lightly. Just like school you want your child to have the best fit for your child. During my career as a basketball trainer I have seen parent destroy there child basketball career because they didn’t do their due diligence when choosing a basketball trainer.
Here are some common mistakes I see when parent choose a basketball trainer for their child
#1 Choosing trainer based on their playing resume. You must distinguish between playing career and trAining career as your not paying a trainer for their past accomplishments but the RESULTS they can bring your child
#2 choosing trainer based on social perspective. Having a basketball trainer is not something you do to feel important. You hire a trainer to help your child IMPROVE. Bottom line make sure you getting your moneys worth.
Characteristics of a good basketball trainer
Good Communicator- You someone that can get a clear message to your child to help avoid confusion help navigate the tough times that come with being a basketball player
Ability To Teach- You must be able to take the years of knowledge that we have accumulated and break it down into bite size nuggets for our players to digest. If a trainer doesn’t have the ability to teach getting optimal results will be a struggle.
Organization- Their must be a consistent training schedule with goals to keep players motivated and excited about conquering the challenges that will come their wa

Unfortunately I have seen many talented and gifted basketball players ruin their careers because they didn’t understand the importance of having a positive attitude. No it’s not always way to have a positive attitude. Especially when things are not going the way you expect. But just like shooting or dribbling have a positive attitude is a skill that needs to be developed. Over time you will get better. This will allow you to have an impact on your team weather or not you are getting playing time. Your teammates and coaches will be drawn to you. Signs Of Bad Attitude -Talking back to coaches -Always complaining -Always pointing out teammates downfalls -Me 1st instead of TEAM 1st -Doesn’t like to be held accountable -Always right & never wrong -Doesn’t like working hard -Always late -Goes hard only when you want to Signs of Positive Attitude -Very coachable -Listens more than talks -Takes responsibility and accountability -Encourages teammates -Leads by example -Shows up everyday ready to work These are just a few bad attitudes destroy players , teams and organizations. On the flip side Positive Attitudes build players, teams and organizations. If you will learn to start developing a positive attitude you will see huge treats on and off the basketball court.

Bornwinner Basketball: Words, Thoughts, Ideas?

Bornwinner Basketball: Words, Thoughts, Ideas?

Basketball Training 101: Words, Thoughts, Ideas During my time as a basketball player & Development specialist I saw a lot but I have heard even more. It is my belief that you will never reach your basketball potential if you don’t understand the power of positive confession. Basketball is a game that is highly dependent on what I call basketball intelligence. How a player THINKS the game is the most vital aspect in player development. It is also my belief that the words you speak have a direct correlation with the thoughts in your mind 💡. Somewhere in basketball history it became popular to BADMOUTH basketball players with the goal of motivating them to do better. I’m sorry but I have seen many LIVES destroyed when a basketball coach or trainer uses these old school basketball training methods. As a SMART basketball trainer I understand the importance of developing of developing basketball players holistically. By giving them simple systems, and tools that they can use to continuously as progressively use in their daily lives. This not only gives them a chance to succeed on the court but also in the classroom and in life overall. Remember basketball is a game of conditioning. So you must condition yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually. A person that condition their minds and mouths to speak words of life and victory they will always be a champion. 3 Words Ideas & Phrases To Transform Your Basketball Game Every time you confess negative you are contributing to your own defeat. Every time you confess positive you are contributing to your victory. “I Can’t” = Defeat, Weakness, Lack of ability “I Can”= Victory, Strength, Triumph “I Want to”= Lack of Hope, Lack of Belief, “I Will”= Confidence, Assurance. Certainty EX: “I want to become a better “ “I will become a better shooter because I will put in the work necessary to take my game to the next level “ Positive Confession I can and will become the basketball player that I desire and I am designed and destined to reach my potential. I have the power, skill, mindset and work ethic to overcome any obstacles that may come my way. Bornwinner Basketball: How To Become A Better Basketball Player Mentally

Bornwinner Basketball: How To Become A Better Basketball Player Mentally

🏀I hear a lot of coaches, trainers and parents talk about the mental side of the game but I don’t see a lot of basketball leaders teaching the mental side.

🏀They say the game is 90% mental and 10% physical if this is true it is very important they we understand how you can become a better basketball player mentally. Just think if you are the most gifted athlete and you max out your physical gifts you will still only be performing at 10% of your capabilities.

🏀These are the 3 secrets I learned that will unleash the hidden 90% of your mental capacity

1. Visualization- Practice visualizing the things that you want to do on the court. This will enhance your instinct. Your brain doesn’t know the difference between something you visualize and something that actually do physically.I call this mental reps- Remember that repetition is the mother of mastery. In other words practice makes perfect.
1. Affirmation- First write your strength and weakness. Then everyday say out loud all of your strength and replace your weaknesses with what you wanna them to be. You are reversing your belief system and building faith in yourself.
2. Make ball life- Eat sleep and live ball. Constantly relate your life situations to basketball 🏀 You will start to develop greater understandingly the game and how it’s supposed to be played. Also you will understand your teammates much better.

🏀Mental muscles are developed the same way that physical muscles are developed so stay consistent and don’t be afraid to go to the next level. By doing these exercises you will be putting yourself in the top 10% by developing the 90% of your potential.

Bornwinner Basketball: What is the 80/20 Rule?

I want to talk to you guys about the basketball mindset. Right, you gotta have the basket. mindset, right and, um, I want to talk to you guys about the 8020 rule 8020 rule is a is a business. But you know, on this platform we like to bridge business in basketball because I believe that if you run your basketball organization like a business, which it is, you can learn a lot of things. And even as the players, I feel like if a players should be able to understand these roles, you always have a role on a team and you have a job description. Right. So, you know, I see a lot of parallels between business and basketball. Um, my goal is to be a millionaire. So I'm on I'm on a path to be a millionaire. I'm a God made millionaire. I coined that term, God made millionaire, I was saying self made millionaire. And I said, You know, I can't leave God out of it. Right? So, be a God made millionaire to basketball, I want to reach of millions, millions of people. That's my goal, right? So the 8020 rule is a is a business term, and it's basically saying that 80% of your production comes from 20% of the people. Right, and we could continuously go on with that ratio, but basically 80% of your production account from 20%

WHAT iS S.M.A.R.T
BASKETBALL TRAINING?

S’ is for Specific
Good goals are confusing. Rather, you need to have a clear, concise goal that you can set your sights on. For example, rather than saying “I want to get better at basketball ” you could say “I want to improve my 3 pt shooting by 10% this summer”. You can see how the latter example is much more specific, and, therefore, is a better goal.
‘M’ is for Measurable
Tracking the progress of your goal is an important part of keeping you motivated. It allows you to set milestones that you can celebrate when you meet them and reevaluate when you don’t. It’s a good idea, then, to always have some aspect of your goal that can be measured and evaluated.
A’ is for Achievable
Far too many people fall into the trap of setting impossible goals for themselves. While impossible goals may push you forward for a while, you will almost certainly end up giving up on them at some point in the future. Instead of impossible, your goals should be challenging yet achievable.
Before you set a goal, make sure that you can actually envision yourself achieving it.
R’ is for Relevant
Not all goals are as worthwhile as others. Unless your goal is relevant to your overall plan for your life, achieving it may not accomplish anything. In order to ensure that your goal is beneficial, make sure that it is worth your time, make sure that achieving it will provide positive benefits to your life, and make sure that this goal aligns to at least some degree with the other goals you have.
T’ is for Time-Bound
Effective SMART goals must have a target time attached to them. For example, rather than saying “I want to get more playing time” you could say “I will increase my playing time by studying film 30 min a day for the next 6 months”. You can see how the person who set that second goal will be much more motivated to succeed since they have a target date in mind for their goal.
