One season while I was coaching varsity softball at Osage, Iowa, we had the team mantra of “Climb the Mountain.” That may seem really strange because we don’t have mountains in Iowa. But it meant something to the team and that’s all that matters.

Carly starred in the I Like Ike Films productions Oliver Short, Run, and had a supporting role in Tea Party. She was nominated for best actress under the age of 18 at the 2018 Utah Film Awards and won a lead actress achievement award from the Iowa Motion Picture Association. She currently resides in New York City and she is chasing her acting dreams.

While I was coaching travel softball, I came across a college football coach by the name of Chip Kelly. The mantra he used with his team was “Win the Day.” I quickly incorporated this into the every day routine of my team and even had it printed on the back of our t-shirts. This philosophy, this attitude very easily transcends into every facet of life including our creative ventures.

She has also played the lead in a couple of locally produced musicals… The Little Mermaid and High School Musical. She has a very powerful singing voice and just an incredibly focused, determined, and talented young actor.
Avery was awarded the Best Actress Under the Age of 18 for her role of Danika in Tea Party at the 2019 Utah Film Awards. She also won a Lead Actress Award of Achievement at the Iowa Motion Picture Awards and Best Young Actress at the Los Angeles Independent Shorts Awards for that same performance.
