The Voice of X

The Voice of X

By Kevin Johnson

I started this podcast to make honest attempt at providing an informed opinion on current cultural trends, events, and politics from the point of view of the forgotten generation.... Generation X. In light of all that has happened since March of 2020, the podcast has taken a more political bent. As a Christian, a father, and an American, the changes that have taken place concern me greatly. Please join me as I share my opinion, and even rant a little about current hot button topics. Prepare to have your sensibilities challenged, and even *GASP* offended. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Don't be so quick to take sides

Don't be so quick to take sides

I don't like Putin, in fact I think the world would be a better place without him, but George Soros is supporting Ukraine. I think there are a lot of questions to be answered before I can develop a well formed opinion. There also seems to be a lot of propaganda pouring out of mainstream media, including conservative media in regards to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. I really felt the need to rant about this. So here it is!

America has a problem with the Cult of Victimization!

America has a problem with the Cult of Victimization!

Its time to stop the division in our nation. The left is using the cult of victimhood to fracture the greatest country in the history of the world. Whether its division over race, class, education, or sexual preference it's past time to come to the table and ask the tough questions. But they need not be tough. A simple approach to the problems that face our nation are all that is needed.

The Electoral College and a Brief Civics Lesson

Hello All. I will be gone for a couple of weeks, but I won't leave you hanging. I am reposting previous podcasts this week and next week. T%his week I will repost an episode I did on the Electoral College and answer that question: Do we have a republic or a democracy? I hope you enjoy it.

COVID, IQ, and Employment: How will it affect our future?

COVID, IQ, and Employment: How will it affect our future?

Recently the topic of the role that IQ plays in your employment prospects caught my attention. Of course how could this not also involve the current COVID hysteria, and the poor policies that our elected officials keep doubling down on? In this episode I am not laying out the data and reasoning with you to come to a conclusion, but am asking that you take some of these data and concerns and spend some time thinking about them, researching them, and praying about them. If these concerns come into fruition it is possible that we could face some real challenges in the future.

Decline of the American Family

Decline of the American Family

This week I want to talk a little about the decline of marriage and traditional family values in America. I'll talk about and share some data on the benefits of what we call traditional marriage and family. Are many of our societal issues linked to the decline of the American family? I will let you form your own opinion, but please make sure you research this information for yourself.

Also, please visit my blog site at https://thevoiceofx.wordpress.com. There you can read regular posts as well as find links to the podcast on various platforms.

Do your research before voting!

Do your research before voting!

Matthew McConaughey has decided not to run for governor of Texas, and to be honest he had a strong following. But what does anyone really know about is political leanings? This got me to thinking a lot about voting. Voting is not just a right, it is a duty. You have a duty not only to yourself but the everyone around you and even to future generations. Your decisions in the voting booth will have ramifications that ripple through future generations. In this podcast I rant a little about my own experience with this and what I think we need to do going forward.

I'm Back!!!!

I'm Back!!!!

I'm back after almost a year! After prayer, a lot of Bible study, and talking to a few people I've decided to come back to the Voice of X podcast. I will still be offering my opinion based on data and facts, but you will be getting a lot more of... well... me. Be prepared to be challenged and offended, but hopefully in a good way. And in light of the Thanksgiving holiday this week I have tacked on my "History of Thanksgiving" podcast from 2019. Hope you enjoy it and I look forward to more podcasts. Thank you.

Stand firm, and do not despair

Stand firm, and do not despair

After closing out a contentious year, and starting 2021 with flagrant disregard for law and order in the form of our courts and leaders refusing to look at election fraud, many of us have been left wondering what happens next. If you are filled with despair and pessimism then I want to present you with a word of hope. The victory is the Lord's and the means by which He will accomplish it may be beyond our understanding. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. - Isaiah 55:8

I got the rona!

I got the rona!

Well, I contracted SARS-COV2, corona virus, covid19, the rona or whatever the vernacular is now days. Honestly, I've always said that eventually, much like the flu most of us would end up getting it. In this episode I provide you with what I went through: my symptoms, my recovery, and my stance on the current lockdowns and mask mandates now that I've gone through it. If you have not listened to the previous podcast "Things you don't hear about COVID" then I would suggest going back and not only listening to it, but reading the articles and the references in the articles that I posted in the description of that podcast. Remember to pray, educate yourself, and speak up.

Things you don't hear about COVID

Things you don't hear about COVID

Staying with the topic of not giving into irrational fear, I want to discuss some topics under the umbrella of the Novel Corona virus. Specifically Masks: Are they effective or even healthy, can I get COVID-19 from surface, and is COVID-19 a death sentence? It seems that as we have learned so much about the the virus, how it transmits, and how to treat it we should be moving in the positive direction of opening back up, but we are regressing. I encourage anyone who listens to this podcast to also read the articles that I cite (including the resources listed in each article) and look at this pandemic from all angles in order to make an informed decision for yourself.

The Second Presidential Debate: My take on it

I hope you guys watched the second presidential debate. It was definitely much better than the first. Trump did well, but more importantly Hide'n Joe Biden showed just how poorly suited to the office he is, as well as being out of touch with the facts. In fact I think that his stance on two particular topics may be prove extremely damaging to his campaign. Join me as we take a look. Below is list of the links from which I got some of my data. We need to get to work...

This is a message to Christians and non-Christians alike. Its time to stop fretting over what is to come. We need to be active participants in the world or risk losing our nation.

I Choose Risk.

I Choose Risk.

Life... real life... must be lived. We can accomplish nothing, individually or corporately, if we eschew risk and spend our lives seeking safety. We must have courage. We must step up and speak the truth, and take an active role in our society. The very founding of our nation, as well as its ascension to the greatest nation on Earth attests to this. Its time to stop living in fear, and choose liberty over safety.
