Hi, I'm Kim Choong and you're listening to Thirstmag: Over A Drink podcast. In this episode, I talked to George Schulze, the Asia brand ambassador for Whyte & McKay about their latest single malt Scotch whisky, Tamnavulin. Tamnavulin used to produce whisky for blending since it was founded in 1966. It retired its stills in 1995 and rested for over 20 years before reopening again in 2007 under a new ownership. It is now operated in its original site in Speyside with a lean team of twelve, including two female Head Distiller and Distillery Manager. We will be talking about what led George from being an actor into the whisky industry, his favourite whisky pairings and cocktails, how not to be told the right way to drink whisky, and a few tips for new drinkers.
