However, we are tempted to indulge in rich, sugar-laden food which will leave us feeling exhausted and unhappy. There is a better way and so many wonderful alternatives that we can eat. The Importance of Self-Nurture
In our busy lives, it's often difficult to find time to do the things we REALLY want to do - things that feed and nurture our souls and increase our happiness levels! Our time is finite and so we need to use the few minutes that we do have every day to rest or do something that we really enjoy. In this podcast, I chat a bit about how these things evoke the relaxation response (RR) which is the opposite process to the stress response. The RR is a state in which our bodies can heal whereas when we are succumbing to stress, this will have a detrimental effect on our health. So, decide what nurtures your soul and then just make time for it! Even if it's just for 5 minus a day. Enjoy guys!

Simone's Story - Staying Healthy With MS
In this episode I had the absolute joy of interviewing Simone, the founder of the popular blog, Staying Healthy with MS. Simone has an inspiring story of recovery but she had to go through absolute hell to get there! In this episode, she shares her difficult journey to recovery and how she found the OMS way of eating and never looked back! She also uses a few really cool alternative therapies such as heavy metal detox spray and infrared saunas to get rid of toxins and reduce inflammation in her body. I'm so happy to be sharing this with you today. Simone is just so inspiring!  Simone's detox spray is called Advanced TRS by Coseva. I'm definitely going to try this!

Intermittent Fasting for Healing
Intermittent fasting is possibly the most important change that I have made with my MS diet. Allowing my body to take a break from digestion for an extended period of time (14-16 hours) has done wonders for my quality of sleep, energy levels, clarity of mind and symptom stabilisation. In this podcast, I share my story and the reasons behind why intermittent fasting is so beneficial for you. Enjoy!

Why give up Dairy?
Dairy is one of the inflammatory food groups that we want to eliminate from our diets. It actually gives rise to and perpetuates inflammation so we can really do without it. In this podcast, I explore three convincing reasons to eliminate dairy from your diet. I also recommend a few excellent dairy alternatives. Enjoy and please leave a comment below if you've learnt something new or have a question. x
