Episode 3-Getting Recruited and Hired
This week KJ talks about starting the process of getting recruited and hired. It is important to ask yourself a few questions before you can determine where and how to apply. First you need to ask yourself. Where do I want work? What countries, communities or schools can I apply to that align with my philosophy? Once these questions are answered, seek out learning environments and people who can help you to get there. Finally, KJ also shares a few resources that can help you to get started on your journey of relocation. The goal of this episode is to help you get noticed, recruited and ultimately hired.
Episode 2-Knowing Your "Why"
Why do we want the things we want? This episode we will talk about knowing our "why". It's important to have a plan and K.J. talks about the importance of discovering this on a individual level. What works for one person may not work for everyone else. What is it that makes you hold on to the dream of teaching and being able to give back to your students. We'll also talk a little bit about options. What are some opportunities available abroad for teachers interested in moving abroad. Would it be more appealing than what we currently have here. As the podcast grows and we continue to build our community, we'll here from people who have walked the walk and moved abroad for teaching opportunities. These individuals will not only serve as inspiration but motivators for anyone who loves teaching and is willing to travel.
