Polka-dotted Jacket
Sometimes we come to our own assumption that saying thank you isn't enough. Going above and beyond may come natural for us, but it's also perfectly okay to do nothing. Sometimes we shy away from gifts because receiving is uncomfortable for us. It may be something we aren't use to that makes us feel a tad awkward inside. Others may not like it because the pressure to reciprocate the gesture. Think about the way you react to kindness, and see if there can be improvements made. Learning to receive can require work if you're programmed to overthinking the situation. Once you begin to notice what may be considered the polka-dotted jacket in your life, you'll start teaching yourself how to worry less.
Dear Me,
It's always nice to have something to look at, recite, or listen to when your spirits are low. Sometimes we need a little extra reminder, and that is perfectly okay. I encourage you to get creative, and think of a way to remind yourself of how great you are. You can write a poem, do a journal entry, or write a list of mantras. Whatever you choose to do, know that you are capable of receiving all good things.
Delivery, Delivery
If you're like me then you've had your fair share of bothersome moments. In this episode, the fly represents how we often misunderstand life's subtle messages. When You Wonder
Some of our happiest memories came from moments when we allowed ourselves to wonder.
When you let your mind wonder, you are actually opening it up to new possibilities. You may think about the worst thing that can happen if this thing in your life won't disappear...but have you thought about the best thing? It may sound silly to wonder about the best outcome that could happen if there was no way to physically it. As backwards as it sounds, it really can be that simple. If you continue to force something away, you are giving that thing power over you. When you remember you have power over your mind, then you unlock so many different ways to help you overcome your situation.
go wonderrrrrrrrr
But You Still Walk
When we're small children, we choose to live limitless. We fell down plenty of times as kids but we dusted ourselves off and continued to walk. When we fall down as adults it's difficult to remember we are still that limitless child. Whether we are are the ones to cause ourselves to fall, or we get knocked down by others, remember that you can always choose to still walk.
Look Around You
When you take a moment to be okay with what is, beauty easily finds its way to you. Beauty can still easily find you when you're closed off, but YOU aren't looking around to notice them. When life gets hard, focus on something beautiful and trust in knowing that everything will work out.
The Man Who Asked for More
The Man Who Asked for More represents the feeling of wanting more out of life, but not knowing how to get it. Trouble finds us when we succumb to the pain life can bring us. The magic starts when we put all of our energy into focusing on that one good thing, even among the chaos.
