What do you choose?

What do you choose?

In today's episode, Kristy changes things up a bit! In light of the recent tragedies and violence in the United States, Kristy shares some of her thoughts and a challenge for all of us to choose differently. Choose to make a change today and to be part of the solution to your community and your world's hurts. At the end of the podcast, Kristy shares a song written and sung by Matt Powers, Change a Life. This song was written to express the thoughts behind the phrase Kristy is often heard repeating, "Do what you can, with what you've got, in the moment you are given." It is her hope that these words and the words of this episode will challenge all of us to finding ways to make a difference in our world.

They help during crisis, natural disasters and when communities contact them for assistance. The goal is to empower local resources and find new and innovative ways for change. Your support of their work is greatly appreciated.

May you be blessed today and be a blessing to others.

Episode 1 - From Australia, with love

Episode 1 - From Australia, with love

Listen to my conversation with Monique and Roger, a couple from Brisbane, Australia who have worked in community development for more than 12 years. Our paths first crossed in Bangladesh several years ago but has maintained because of our love for an assets-based approach to working in developing or majority world locations. I ask Monique and Roger (from their home in Brisbane) to share why they started working in community development and some of the outcomes of their style of relationship with communities. I hope you enjoy this first podcast and feel challenged to work in life-giving ways.
